So Steam handed out some free games this past weekend. one of them being Zombie Panic:source.
the Objective is simple, work together with other players online to stay alive. you are given limited weapons and pretty much anything you find can be used as a weapon. The more items, weapons, ammo, ect. you pick up...the slower you become and more vulnerable to the dead. If you are killed by the dead you become them and like other zombie games you must eat a few brains!

I like the game play being FPS and more of a team effort to stay alive...

I found that staying together and giving other players much needed ammo that you may not be using can be a real life saver.


I give this game a 4 out of 5

for making better use of the source engine, definintly will beat out any zombie mod made from Counter strike. and for being really fun for a good online time killer. thumbs up for it being free too!

I really like this game so far, but it wont distract me from left 4 dead!

I think I would want to be a zombie just to eat brains all day.

I had quite a bit of fun with Zombie Panic in the month or two before L4D came out. I'm going to transition to L4D. Part of the problem is that my friends on Steam didn't want to play it, so even though I found a couple ZP servers with some fun people on there, I go where my friends are.

Though, if you have a zombie hankering and you don't have the money for L4D. Zombie Panic definitely fits the bill and is good fun.

A word of caution: there is a slight learning curve as being a survivor is quite unforgiving. Read through the ZP forums before hopping online and you'll have a much easier time.
