I have the money and was wondering wich one would be good for me.Ive been a playstation gamer and nintendo gamer my whole life.I just want your opinion on wich one is better,and if you could list reasons on why one is better.THANKS!

Well most 360/PS3 games are available on both systems.

The best upcoming exclusives for each would be Gears of War 2 (360) / Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3) IMO. Both consoles offer online play, but I'm more familiar with Xbox Live (which is not free unlike PSN). From what I've seen, it's definitely worth the fee though and there are loads of people on it at all times. Also, most of your friends most likely have Xbox Live rather than Playstation Network. So if you'd like to play with them, the 360 would be a wise choice.

But it all comes down to what you want. If you want a blu-ray player and like the PS3's current line up, then get that. If you're looking for a more established online multiplayer experience then the 360 is the way to go. Some great games: Call of Duty 4, Gears of War, Halo 3, Rainbow Six Vegas 2. There's also GTA IV/Devil May Cry 4 which may be worth considering. However, they are also on the PS3 along with CoD 4.

Also, keep in mind that the cheaper PS3 model is NOT backwards compatible. So you won't be able to play PS2 games on that model, so don't throw out your PS2 yet :P

Joking aside, it all depends what you're willing to bank on- Potential or Existing Library. The appeal of, say, Little Big Planet, is obvious, it looks great! However, the 360 already has a lot of games already there that rock out loud. Popular choices are Portal, Bioshock and Oblivion. Three great games, three very different genres.

Oh, and the 360 is now so cheap, that you can probably pick up a good stack of games along with it for the price of a PS3.

I would definitely consider the 360. It is a more rounded console.

I'd go for 360, Whereas the PS3 has a total of 2 good exclusives coming out( MGS4 and Little Big Planet) which you won't get on the 360, but The 360 has Lost Oddesy, Eternal Sonata(going to PS3 later this year I've heard), Blue Dragon and Echanted arms for your RPG needs, FPS genre has Halo 3, Gears of war and about 60 other FPS games, because the 360 is a FPS whore.

I'd say go for the 360, just because better games, and Xbox Live is tons better than PSN.

360. It has more games, stellar online play, and doesn't cost a meteric fuckton.

As previously stated, the only good games coming up for the PS3 are Metal Gear Solid 4, and Little Big Planet, and that's not enough to get me to cough up $750+, including games, peripherals, etc, not to mention a life raft when the SS Sony finally sinks to the bottom.

360 all the way. I was a dedicated Sony owner pre-PS3, and up until a month before the release of the 360, was still solid in my standing. I, however, unlike some, actually foresaw the immense fail that was going to be the PS3, and jumped ship.

Halo 3, Mass Effect, GoW1-2, Lost Odyssey, and more triumph over shitty Killzone 2 (when the first one wasn't even that good), the new Final Fantasy (the series died after 9), and the good but still to costly MGS4.

well there's not alot more to it... except that the xbox allows for more customisation (i.e. faceplates and the coverings in general), and IMO the controllers for the 360 are more comfortable and fit in the hand better. And as said before, It also depends on what type of gaming your interested in... FPS for 360, RPG for both, fighting for PS3(IMO), etc,etc....

And don't forget those hot lights you can put inside, and the water cooling system. Mmmmm.
Now, let me think of a way to customize the Wii.
