i really loved this game. figting in battlegrounds, searching for items, dong instances etc. have played lineage 2 and i left it very fast. i think that it is boring. on the other side, linage's graphics are more realistic.

Hey, if you guys like playing WOW, you should check out my signature line.

I think both are only worthy of entertaining 12 year olds with ADHD. WoW is worse IMO though, the storyline in WoW is so dry/corny it's not even funny, the graphics are stale, and the combat is boring and so repetitive if you map all your powers to the numpad, you can play with just it and the movement keys. I don't get why everyone likes it, it's a boring dry tasteless game who's only benefit is it SOMEHOW got popular so now all your friends play it so you have to as well.

Boring games all around, MMO's seriously need to step up, there is SO much potential for greatness in this genre, and so few games delivering on it.

I feel that WoW amongst other MMOs are successful because they manage to create some sort of ambition for the player, and that ambition is pretty much consists of maxing out your character's stats. and getting the best gear. That's what keeps most players hooked on the game, as they feel the need to fulfill that ambition. And while it sounds like some sort of drug addiction, in a way MMOs are sort of like a digital drug for some people.

There's also other factors such as the community inside of the game (this includes guild members, friends in the game that you know on/offline etc.) and if a lot of your "offline" friends play that tends to keep your interest in the game more alive. And eventually you may try to recruit others to join you as well. I remember when I played RuneScape I tried to get some people I knew into it, and some did convert into active players.
