I played EQ for 7 years, and EQ2 for a few months.

WoW like all MMORPGs is very time addicting.

Graphically, its consistent with all the Blizzard norms for this series, and the generic graphics allow a much smoother frame rate.

The playability options and the new Burning Crusade introduction of new character types has made it overall an enjoyable experience.

The quest system is somewhat flawed as can be expected but the overall gaming experience can be very indepth with the general quests, instances, class specific quests and tradeskills.

And then theres the battlegrounds and PvP. Its like a whole nother game inside of a game.

I love the way it was setup as a whole, and for me its not lost its drawing power even after my years in MMORPGs.

I love the warcraft series and remain loyal to its games through the course, and I think wow was a good direction for the title as a whole. It will certainly be around for years to come. Im just waiting for battle vehicles to be introduced into PvP

So in summary, WoW = good fun

I used to play World Of Warcraft but then it got dead boring and it requires no skill at all. It became all about farming.
You want gear? Farm Intances or Farm money.
You want PvP gear? Farm BG all day untill you get bored.
You want reputation? Farm all day reputation.
You want to have fun and PvP? You'll be marked as a "Ganker"

Epic geared with light skills > Pro with decent gear.

But burning crusade corrected loads of stuff, for example, the arena.

Playing games is all about having fun, not spending time farming again and again.

I missed here an important aspect in an MMORPG. Its communicating, i think that what makes MMORPG wonderfull is doing fun stuff with your friends or a group. Raiding together, trying to make ultimate PvP team, that what gives MMORPGS some flavour. WoW isn't hardcore game either, i can still have fun with it, leveling fast, giving you more time to help your friends.

Honestly, I am thinking of switching back to WoW burning crusade and continue leveling my hunter to 70 even that it requires loads of farming. But it surely worth it having fun with your friends.

i friken love this game. had to take some time off & regroup. it's so indepth and time consuming that it's easy to forget about other things in life, but i'm back with a vengance .... and loving it. Will

I played on the realm Destromath and had a pally lvl 70 reti/holy spec and then sold that char for around 265$ and then I bought my ibenz guitar with the money.

After that I moved on to private servers and GM'd for a bit, then quit (cold turkey)
