Wired or Wireless
What do you prefer?
I still think wired is more stable, however wireless is more convenient and flexible. Some of the disadvantages of wireless include: usually a higher price, and changing batteries. I mean both the price difference, and changing batteries is not a big deal, however, the battery part can get annoying especially if your playing an online game, and your battery dies all of the sudden. Anyway, as for wireless routers, they usually drop the connection more than wired, especially if you have a cheap wireless router. RE: Wired or Wireless
Me personally I am wired direct to the modem ... however we have 4 people in the house with more that 2 comps each (we are all gamers) so we have wireless hooked up ...
I have had more problems being directly connected vs wireless ... weird I know ... So I would have to say wireless. ![]() Rules of the Forum | Guide to PwnEm.com |

RE: Wired or Wireless
Wired, for sure.
But I recently had a long, very bad infraction thread about my internet on Lorelei Web. |

RE: Wired or Wireless
At my old house I had the modem in my room, and the rest of the house was hooked up wirelessly, but now I'm wireless, and the office computer has the modem. Honestly there's never been any real problem with it, so I'll say wireless.

RE: Wired or Wireless
I'm too cheap to fully upgrade to wireless, however I use wireless whenever I can, with my 360 Controllers (I have a plug 'n play coord so when it gets low I can recharge it by plugging it into my console and continue playing), my headset (the sound is much better in quality on a wireless than a stock), and many other small trinkets around my game-zone. However 80% of everything is still wired.
In short, I'd LIKE a wireless everything, but can't afford it. ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |

RE: Wired or Wireless
Well it depends, wireless routers are usually a pain to set up but once you get it working, usually it's quite smooth. And it's almost a must have now especially if you plan to play online on handheld devices. For example, if you want to play your PSP or DS games online you need wireless internet or else it won't work (unless you buy some adapter , but it costs $40, which is the price of a decent wireless router).
