Notice the last line? So, the PlayStation 3 has a better process than the Xbox 360. You can see the true power when playing Lair, three thousand soldier all in high quality moving all the time with a pretty nice smooth animation.

I think its the other way around, buddy. Killzone is the one who will murder Halo 3. Every gamer will acknowledge that the new Killzone is going to smash the console market. I am not saying it will make Halo 3 disappear. No, Halo is a great game series no doubt, but as gamers we try to find the best.

Now by logic, a game that takes a full advantage from Blu-Ray and the Cell process would be better than a game which runs on DVD?

Though, still bear in mind that Halo 3 might have better gameplay, who knows? I am just predicting here since SCEA is putting a huge efforts on Killzone.

Its 499$ for the 60 GB, and there is rumors that there will be a price cut till 399$. However, the PlayStation online now is equal to Xbox live. Its pretty easy to use and wonderful and offers tons of contents to download on a very fast servers.

I am not saying this to say "PlayStation is awesome" No, its from my own experience. Yes months ago it was very poor, but now they enhanced it. You can download all kind of contents, mini-games. Also, its stable and it provides free games such Home.

However, I played PS2 games on my PlayStation 3. There is no much diffrent, only better fram rate per second and also, better quality on a HD TV.

So, its a huge lie that PS2 has a poor quality when played with the PlayStation 3.

Support your theory with evidence? I believe that the 360 outsold the PlayStation 3 because it was launched a year earlier. Resulting various problem such as freezing in the middle of the game and the red ring of death and other heating problems.

At the end, all I am saying the currently the PlayStation 3 is better than the Xbox 360. First of all there are no freezing problem, no overheating problems, no rings of death. It has great games coming like Home, Killzone, and not to mention the Ol'great metal gear solid, Ratchet & clank, warhawk, heavenly sword, Lair. It has a free online services that is equal quality to the Live. It has blur-ray discs.

You see, the PlayStation 3 system is a double edged sword. Its hard to program and create games on which result less crappy games on it made by small companies. But in the same time, only big companies and games with big titles will work on it.

So that will result most of the PlayStation 3 games will be high quality.

The real question is, what does the Xbox 360 going to offer to me? Gears of wars? I can play on PC. The only real game that the 360 provide to me is Halo 3. It worth buying the console for halo 3. Most of Xbox games are being ported to PC and PlayStation 3.

In the other hand, what the PlayStation 3 gonna offer me? Blu-ray player, games such as resistance, killzone, lair, and other great titles.

I will say that I have not played the PS3. But from what I have seen and heard I like the Wii better.

An established online gaming community, and a great selection of XBL Arcade games like Worms, and Small Arms.

However, why it's true that most Xbox games are being ported to the PC (well the big ones), the average person would have to spend at least $150+ to get those games running at a fairly playable rate, and some would have to get an entirely new PC. So it makes more sense to play them on the console, that is, if you own it already.

I see your point, but it's too soon for anyone to judge who's the winner of the next gen war. Halo 2 managed to thwart the PS2 & GC IMO. But now Master Chief has a lot of competition, Mario & Crash's buddies are catching up :)

I think once the new Halo, Killzone, and Super Smash Bros. has been released we'll know or at least get a better idea.

I'm gonna go with the wii. I've never been much of a sony fan, and i think that the Wii is an exceptional console in every respect. To me, all sony have done is built a powerful machine with nothing to play with it. While it undeniably has good games, Resistance E.T.C, it doesnt have the "cult classic" titles they need, especially at launch, to make me interested in the console.
As far as the PS3 and 360 argument goes, Technically there both superbly immpressive, and i believe that if the Ps3 had launched when the 360 did it would be a different story.

The PS3 is a horrible waste of good hardware/hype. Sony screwed up with the PS3. I liked the PS1/2, but 3 killed the franchise/company for me, the same way it did for a majority of other gamers.

It only appeals to those angsty 12 year old elitist assholes who think graphics and hardware make or break a game and storyline/gameplay (something a massive majority of games on the PS3 LACK) are equivalent of shit.

It's a disillusioned state todays gaming youth live in, where the console makes the games. No, the games make the console. You don't see millions of screaming fanboys winching over their DVD player because one is made by Sony and the other by Sylvania. No, because it doesn't matter, it's the MOVIES you bought the DVD player for. I don't need Linux on my console. I don't need all the bells and whistles $ony offers because that's what I have my COMPUTER for. The majority of games on the PS3 are crap marketed at 12 year olds (@ Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Killzone 2), so that adversely affects the console... and turns it into garbage.

I just want to say that when smash bro's brawl comes out this argument will be made irrelavant. the PS3 is poorly marketed and overpriced with a poor games selection. theres losing all thier best titles, and i really dont care if its a tiny bit better than the 360 with its technology, since its not what i look for in a console.
I agree that the PS3 is marketed to teenagers with little grasp of the gaming industry, as anyone with a grasp would probubly buy the 360 or the Wii. For the games if for nothing else.

Indeed, Brawl will put the Wii in the lead and I'm not just saying that because I'm a Wii Fanboy..Mario vs. Sonic is going to be an awesome fight, and only Brawl can provide that. For about $300 (excluding taxes) you'll get one of the best fighting games + a kickass console to play it on. While for $100 more you'll just get a fancy DVD player with a limited selection of games. However, MGS4 may help boost PS3 sales as I know some people who are highly considering getting a PS3 once that game comes out. So the PS3 still has a chance to redeem itself IMO.
