its processing power is comparativly weak compared to the 360's. In other words, sure, it can make things look all shiney, but when it comes to performance and gameplay, it will always fall short of the 360.
Heh, says who? Go read gamespot? Or do I have to Quote from them?
"We're not saying to ignore specifications altogether--most of them are relevant in some way or another. And we're going to talk about the specifications that really jumped out at us at first glance. Let's start with the processor. Sony has announced that the PlayStation 3 will have a 3.2GHz Cell processor that consists of a PowerPC-based core with seven synergistic processing units. The PS3 spec-sheet says that there's an eighth SPE reserved for redundancy--whatever that means. The Xbox 360, in comparison, has a multicore PowerPC processor that has three dual-threaded cores that can handle six total threads at a time. You might be able to call the Cell's SPEs overgrown math units, but we think Sony's Cell processor wins from a brute power perspective"
Notice the last line? So, the PlayStation 3 has a better process than the Xbox 360. You can see the true power when playing Lair, three thousand soldier all in high quality moving all the time with a pretty nice smooth animation.
Halo 3 will literally MURDER f**king Killzone. I mean, it will M-U-R-D-E-R it, hardcore. Plus, that teaser trailer, fake. Sony lies to you. It was all pre-rendered.
I think its the other way around, buddy. Killzone is the one who will murder Halo 3. Every gamer will acknowledge that the new Killzone is going to smash the console market. I am not saying it will make Halo 3 disappear. No, Halo is a great game series no doubt, but as gamers we try to find the best.
Now by logic, a game that takes a full advantage from Blu-Ray and the Cell process would be better than a game which runs on DVD?
Though, still bear in mind that Halo 3 might have better gameplay, who knows? I am just predicting here since SCEA is putting a huge efforts on Killzone.
In addition, Killzone is doing a huge buzz this year.
Fourth. You say "600$ for a PS3 isn't expensive". And yet, a full 12 Month membership to Xbox Live only costs 50$. The PS3's online features make it nearly impossible to find and join your friends. Look at all the reviews of Playstation Online, the consensus is, IT SUCKS!
Its 499$ for the 60 GB, and there is rumors that there will be a price cut till 399$. However, the PlayStation online now is equal to Xbox live. Its pretty easy to use and wonderful and offers tons of contents to download on a very fast servers.
I am not saying this to say "PlayStation is awesome" No, its from my own experience. Yes months ago it was very poor, but now they enhanced it. You can download all kind of contents, mini-games. Also, its stable and it provides free games such Home.
Honestly, Home is one of the games that worth getting a whole console for.
Again, your own logic haunts you. Plus, the only TRUE good games the PS3 has, are the backward compatible ones from the PS2. And the PS3 actually makes the PS2 games look WORSE. It amplifies jagged edges, making all of its games look hella choppy. On the other hand, the 360 actually makes Backward Compat games look BETTER. It improves the Anti-Aliasing and actually makes the Graphics of last Gen games BETTER.
This a lie. No offense, but I can't really reply on you. This paragraph seems pretty retarded and funny :D
However, I played PS2 games on my PlayStation 3. There is no much diffrent, only better fram rate per second and also, better quality on a HD TV.
So, its a huge lie that PS2 has a poor quality when played with the PlayStation 3.
nd lastly, you're right, you'd be a fool to spend 600$ on an Xbox Elite... the Pro system easily ALREADY outdoes the PS3. Of course, don't tell that to all the people who bought elites, which actually outsold PS3's the month they were released.
Support your theory with evidence? I believe that the 360 outsold the PlayStation 3 because it was launched a year earlier. Resulting various problem such as freezing in the middle of the game and the red ring of death and other heating problems.
I feel sorry for you, I really do. I can't imagine how it must feel standing behind a console, which, if you would look around you, is obviously a dieing breed. The public has spoken, the PS3 has failed this Console race, maybe next time...
The public has spoken..? lol. I am in some kind of court room or something? dude, all I know that Sony is catching up to the 360.
Not to mention that its the most stable console out there. There is no doubt that every console has its pros and cons. Everyone buys what suits him.
Also, all the thing here is true. I google the web every time i reply to you to be sure. There might be still be flaws and I might be wrong. But I am not typing all the crap from my imagination.
At the end, all I am saying the currently the PlayStation 3 is better than the Xbox 360. First of all there are no freezing problem, no overheating problems, no rings of death. It has great games coming like Home, Killzone, and not to mention the Ol'great metal gear solid, Ratchet & clank, warhawk, heavenly sword, Lair. It has a free online services that is equal quality to the Live. It has blur-ray discs.
You see, the PlayStation 3 system is a double edged sword. Its hard to program and create games on which result less crappy games on it made by small companies. But in the same time, only big companies and games with big titles will work on it.
So that will result most of the PlayStation 3 games will be high quality.
The real question is, what does the Xbox 360 going to offer to me? Gears of wars? I can play on PC. The only real game that the 360 provide to me is Halo 3. It worth buying the console for halo 3. Most of Xbox games are being ported to PC and PlayStation 3.
In the other hand, what the PlayStation 3 gonna offer me? Blu-ray player, games such as resistance, killzone, lair, and other great titles.
