Well in this current next gen war it seems that Nintendo is winning in terms of sales. And overall, it seems that the 360 is doing the best in terms of games and it's online service (Xbox Live).

But, who will win in the next "next gen war"?

I'm guessing that Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo will continue the battle. Perhaps another company will step in as well, but assuming this doesn't occur, who will win the next war from those 3 companies that I just mentioned?

I have a feeling that Nintendo will win again in sales, but that Sony & Microsoft will be close in the overall battle. While the PS3 isn't doing too great, the PS2 was a success so I know Sony can pull things off IMO. It's just that they sort of messed up with the PS3. They might be able to redeem themselves and outdo Microsoft in the next war.

As for the next "next gen war", I'd say Nintendo again. Microsoft has pretty much reached its peak with the 360. What else does it need? The PS3 was a dud, but the PS2 owned. The Wii is 20x better than the Gamecube, and still leaves room for improvement, so I'd say Nintendo will come up with something innovative.

Then, Colecovision will come back and dominate, and also announcing the end of the 3 companies for they shall be blackmailed with pictures of them and CP.

I believe Sony will jump start things and get into the next generation before M$ and Nintendo with the PS4. And then they will all get into it. I think it will be neck and neck for a bit, and Nintendo will come to a head again. I think what Nintendo might do is actually have a type of duel console design, on end will play Gamecube games, Wii games, and whatever the next name will be. And on the other half I think they will have Sega games playable on the machine from the Dreamcast and the Saturn.

I'd say that no matter what happens, If sony's next console starts as badly as PS3 Its over for Sony.

@ Deadpool, what they might do is probably make Saturn & DreamCast titles available via some sort of virtual console system just like how they're doing with the N64 games as I doubt the original game discs would be compatible with whatever system they make.

And their newer console will definitely be more innovating than the Wii. They may even give Virtual Reality another try..

Well... they'd at least make it look nicer than the Virtual Boy

I agree with Deadpool. These retro titles on a virtual library are good and all space-wise, however, there a lot of problems with emulation. Too many bugs and things can go wrong. It would be a lot better if you could just have the disc there.

Of course Nintendo. They have the longevity in this business.

Sony relies on Final Fantasy.
Microsoft got LUCKY and they rely on Halo.
