How it stands now, if Nintendo wants retake the market as it did in the release of the Wii, they need a revolution. (Should have kept that as the console name) This would be the perfect time to bring back the Nintendo gold, and add online play to all games. Think about a Zelda game that could have online play where there has to be more than Link to complete the mission. Isn't it high time that Zelda stopped being in trouble and started fighting at Link's side? And bring back old allies that can help. That would attract more people to play it imo. That goes for a lot of other classic games.

Some sort of free to play MMORPG for the Wii could be enough to make it actually stand somewhat of a chance against the 360, and continue to face off the PS3.

As someone else previously mentioned in another thread, a Pokemon MMORPG would sell like crack. I'm actually shocked at how strong that series still is. Back when the trading card game went downhill along with original TV series I thought it was over, but it's still alive..I actually thought the modern games were rather lame until I played them lol. Pokemon Diamond for instance is quite good for the DS, and while it may seem childish once you start playing you'll be sure to bring back memories of Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow.

Nintendo needs something to fight the 360. But for now, Sony the winner of last gen, Nintendo has them pwned for sometime now.

the only reason i would buy a 360 is cuz of the downloadable games like the upcoming Megaman 9

Megaman 9 will be on the Wii as well though along the PS3 so it's not a 360 exclusive :P

However, the 360 does have a lot more downloadable titles so in that sense I can understand your reasoning.

Nintendo did get the good end of the spectrum with Star Wars the Force Unleashed. I am getting that very soon.

That article just sums up which one to get. They also claim failure rates dropped, but some of the guys I know got the RROD the other day. Having said that, it is worth it just to get Halo 3/Gears 2.

I haven't played Gears of War 2 yet so can't really fairly judge it, but I did like the first one, mainly just single player though. As for Halo 3, I have it and wasn't too impressed as I've stated several times before. IMO it's not that great of an exclusive, it's good as the multiplayer modes are fun at times but just not the hype that some people claim. I guess when you don't own it, it does seem amazing but once you get a 360 and play it for a while it loses it's appeal quickly. I rarely play it, and when I do it's mainly just custom games as most of my friends have it so it's good for that..

When I played Gears (the original) there were times I wanted to kill Cole (my AI) when my ex and I did co-op and had to split up. I would normally take the high road if I knew which one it was, because I was good with the sniper. Cole, however, made it hard for me because he was a blatant idiot that didn't watch where he was running. I can't count how many times I had to heal him. :/

Anyway, back to the subject. I originally was a fan of Nintendo. I owned every Nintendo system except for the N64 (don't ask why, I think we couldn't afford it that year). My final Nintendo system was the Gamecube. I have played the Wii, but haven't found much on it that I'd really enjoy playing. I've gotten a lot more into action games and FPS, and most of those titles that I've enjoyed are on the 360. Granted, I wasn't sold on the 360 for a long time. I was so much a fangirl of Nintendo that my best friend Daphne and I deemed it blasphemy to talk about the 360. However, just goes to show you that people can change. My friend does pick on me for being a heretic though. ;)

Ahh, don't sweat it. I don't have a problem with a console unless they want $600 for it. Costs more than a freaking 32" flatscreen tv. Anyways, I love Nintendo, and when I was younger I loved it, but when it came time for a new console, I was torn between XBox, and the Gamecube. Got the Gamecube because my sis and I played together alot, and we were raised on Nintendo. But I still wouldn't have a problem getting a 360. There are games on it Nintendo doesn't have. Same as their being games on Nintendo that 360 doesn't have, like Zelda, and Brawl.
