Right now the latest handhelds include the Slim PSP, DS Lite, and the GP2X.

There are other ones as well, but they don't have as much features as those 3.

The PSP has brought us good graphics on the go, the DS, dual screens and touch screen, and the GP2X a out of the box Linux gaming handheld in which the creators encourage homebrew.

I'd like to see a combination of all those things in the next handheld. A dual screened, touch screen, Linux powered gaming handheld with powerful graphics, and WiFi.

Is this likely to happen? Probably not, and if it does occur, it will most likely not be by a mainstream company like Sony, Microsoft, Apple or Nintendo. And the downside to that, is that there will be hardly commercial games for it. Only homebrew, and while homebrew games are usually good, let's face it, commercial games are usually better since they have a whole professional team working on them, homebrew games are just done by hobbyist in their spare time, and they have a much lower budget.

Well, If you ask me, they should've added a second analog stick to the PSP slim. But Sony is retarded and refuses to do so. IF they have done that the PSP will sell like crack. Personally, I'd throw my PSP away and buy slim if that happened.

RE: What would you like to see in the next handheld?
Well I was mainly referring to a brand new handheld not a new version of an existing one.

But yeah that adjustment would of made the slim PSP better. I've also heard that Microsoft is trying to make a handheld gaming device as well as Apple.

Plus there's other companies too, take a look at this device for example:

BTW it's real but there's no news of what kind of games will run on it, and what other features it might have. Read more about it here

Well, I would like to see powerful graphics, ability to play it on TV (just like PSP slim), lighter weight, small, good games.

Ah TV-Out another feature I forgot to mention.

The old PSP is able to do this too, but you need an unofficial accessory, and the GP2X can do it too. Never seen the PSP on a TV though, but I have with the GP2X and it looks pretty good.
