Epic announced that the PS3/PC version will be played online cross/platform and you can use mouse/keyboard on the PS3 if you want. Also, it may take the same path that haze took, actually, its doing the same. They are delaying the 360 version to unknown date on 2008 and probably canceling that.

The reason that the 360 may get canceled like Haze is semi-confirmed when one of epic developer said that they are having no plans yet for UT3 in on the 360 and they're currently focusing on the PS3/PC version. The reason behind this because they stated that the 360 cannot handle the graphic that is more impressive than Gears Of War and something Epic never done before. Also they stated how aweful the Live feature and he said literaly he thanked Sony for their network.

Also, in the PS3 version you will be able to create levels, mods, customizable character on the PC then transfer them on the PS3. This is the direction that the PlayStation or Sony industry are heading toward. Giving the user the ability and the power to create and generate and play. Making them a part of the game and encourages creativity.

The online cross platform is going to be sweet. And if the 360 version were to be released, if they could merge all 3 that would be quite interesting. As you would be facing someone with a mouse and keyboard, another with a 6 axis controller, and last but not least someone with a white controller with a glowing x in the middle. Also the way they are linking up the character/map creation was a good idea, although I don't see why this couldn't be done on the PS3 being that there is a mouse and keyboard for it.

Hopefully they make a demo for the PC version so I can try it out and see if it works on my PC.

A demo will be out for the PC/PS3 soon. It will be launched this year. I am going to check it out. I am a fan of UT3.

The reason the 360 version is delayed has nothing to do with Graphics, UT3 was originally a PS3/PC exclusive until some Sony rep f**ked things up and pissed off Mark Rein by insulating GoW, callings it "Not next-gen" so the Mark Rein then announced that Sony/PC had just lost there exclusive. Problem is, that was late it development, so they still have to catch up with the PS3/PC version. He stated that the PS3 version currently has can support the mods, and the 360 can't, not because of console power/graphical power, but because they haven't been working on the 360 version nearly as long as they have the PS3/PC version.

Also, it would be simple for the 360 to support downloadable mods, I mean Halo 3 is doing it right now.

No, its not because Sony pissed off a developer or a staff. A whole team or company can't just cancel an exclusive for an insult or a statement. Its not a child play or something. They were a multi platform company developing for Linux, Mac, Windows, PS3, Xbox 360. Sorry, but I can't swallow your story because its too childish. So, the easiest way to win an exclusive to make the other platform insults a developer or someone who works in the other company? That's pretty childish.

Also, an interview with phil harrison and he got asked about Halo 3 and Gears Of War. His answer was that he liked both game and respected them.

The problem as stated on Epic forum that the Xbox 360 was too weak to produce high detailed graphics. Also, the content couldn't fit into the DVD format (9 GB). Ofcourse the PC version is also a DVD disk, and the difference between the Xbox and PC that the PC version is installed into the computer Hard Disk.

Since the Xbox 360 has 20 GB of hardisk they can't do that with it. They can't make multi-DVDs because you don't know what map can pop up during online play. So one solution is to decrease the graphics + Compress the sound+ remove few maps from the Xbox version.

Please, explain the reason that they are not working on the Xbox 360 version yet? Explain why there is no release date yet? Explain why they're focusing on the PlayStation / PC and all their announcements are for PC / PS3? This time something more convincing than two people insulting each other.

Same thing happened with Haze I guess. Honestly, any one would know that it would be canceled. There is no place for a FPS game with Halo being launched.

I doubt it will get canceled, it will probably just be delayed a month or two.

They stated they haven't got the time to make the Xbox 360 version and they are anticipating release late 2008. They'll probably will reduce the quality, and remove loads of maps, and compress sound and stuff.

Yes, I saw that. They stated though there is planning to make PC VS PS3 when they figure that. Because currently, they have no time for thinking. They want to launch it as fast as possible.
