I've seen them before, but I still think they are awesome.
As for the Stormtroopers, they got beaten by Ewoks because they were in the forest and they Rebels did most of the Planning.
On an open field with no random crap to bust up their armor they wouldn't even have trouble.

The fact remains that the Empires most elite troops, with all there equipment and training, were fumbled by cuddly 3 feet tall teddy bears with sticks and stones.

Any trully capable military unit would have contingency plans for coping with any kind of scenario, especially if they were "Elite", like the empororer says.

If Volksgrenadiers were surrounded by Ewoks, they would win.

Also, for the record, they're not Nazis. Nazi is the political party and governmental system, the soldiers are still just that, soldiers, not Nazis. The same concept could be applied to calling our troops "Capitalists", sure you could, but it doesn't make sense, they're not politicians.

So a group of soldiers got beaten in a Guerrilla war by natives that had been fighting 30ft tall monsters since time immemorial.
I doubt that the German Soldiers would fare better, the Ewoks are tough little guys despite the fur.
Anyway How precisely would YOU beat a bunch of natives in their own forest, Because an Idea would be needed.
It's possible that the Germans would win, but the fact remains that one contingent doesn't qualify all stormtroopers as fools.

I think the Germans would think the same.

Also, AT-ST's are a joke. Try knocking over a Stug. III, or a Tiger. Oh wait, you can't. IRL Stormtroopers would win. IRL Stormtroopers > Empire stormtroopers.

Also, a Landkreuzer P. 1500 "Monster" would rape an AT-AT.



Anyhow, again, the Stormtroopers stationed on Endor were the "Empires most elite troops", so yes, one contingent does speak for the rest in that case.

It is the movies you know. The Ewoks had to win, or no happy ending.

Movies need more realism.
