TV Tuners
TV tuners for handhelds, ever owned one?

I haven't, as they were usually rather expensive and I'm not a big fan of TV (especially the local channels). But it does look like a useful thing to have if you happen to be addicted to those shows like 24 and so on.

Here's a list of handhelds that had a TV tuner created for them:

Game Gear
GBA / Micro
Nintendo DS (Japanese company made it)
PSP (Japanese as well)

Also, it's worth noting that soon TV in North America will be going digital therefore it means that a lot of these tuners might not be of much use at that point.

RE: TV Tuners
Ah true, I've added it to the list.

Also, it only works for Japanese TV right?

RE: TV Tuners
It is a nice feature, but yes, if it isn't a digital tuner, kiss tv goodbye.
As for an update, this is the tv I have settled on. Better than that Sanyo.

32" 720p Sharp LCD tv with analog and digital tuners. It is for my bedroom, that is why I am not going for the full 1080p.
$600 is a good price for one of the best out there too.

RE: TV Tuners
Looks pretty good for that price. It looks similar to the one I planned to get a while ago, however, I'll probably wait a bit longer to get a new TV as there's a handful of good upcoming games coming out soon so I rather use my money on that and then get the TV later on.

RE: TV Tuners
It is convenient for me, my birthday is 2 1/2 weeks before Christmas, so my gifts are usually bought on the Christmas savings.
