Anyone tried this?

Am I missing something or is this what the core gameplay is...?

Mindless hack N slash stlye battle with a crappy camera and a FFX mock up for a skill upgrade...Am i really missing something, because i thought it lacked anything that made me go wow.

Well, it is a demo for a game still a month out.

But the supposed "core" element of it is supposed to be choice (which a demo can only ever so lightly touch on), such as whether or not the supplement yourself with robotic enhancements, or to kill certain people, etc.

ah, good point, but maybe it's just me...I mean I don't really like games like Mass Effect, and this kinda reminds me of it.

I thought it was quite interesting, and funny in a way. Getting to choose how you want to kill people with what part of you.

He may have just watched gameplay videos on youtube or something.. I myself haven't really had the opportunity to play the demo as my 360's dead, but the cinematic trailer I watched of it intrigued me. However some of the movement I think looked a bit stiff.. Mind you that's a cutscene, not the actual game...

A few hours ago I got as far as the demo let me, and it's not that bad of a game IMO.

However, the camera indeed sucks. As for gameplay it felt like I was playing a combination of DMC4 + Ninja Gaiden except that in this game you have those mech freaks shooting missiles at you. I got to level 6 by the time the demo was over and was crushing those bastards with a hammer :P

If the co-op has some variety in it and is not laggy, then it might be a future purchase for me.

No I don't have a 360 but I have watched a handful of videos about the game and gameplay.
And I know what you mean Aryon, the camera is very important, and it ticks me off when it is bad. Like the Transformers game. Targeting is a nightmare.

It reminded me quite a bit of Ninja Gaiden II in that respect. I wanna play it but it's not something I'm going to have to play super close attention to.
