I'm not sure about this one.

On one hand, I played the Demo on live and it seems alright, but it just seems to lack... something. I'm not sure what. But it does.

Things I found on upon playing the demo:

1) Time powers are only useful for rewinding if you f**k something up.

2) Prince of Persia does a much better job of the time stuff, this game does no more than simply "say" you should use the powers at certain times.

3) I actually managed to complete the 15+ minute demo only using my time powers 4 times, or a cumulative 8 seconds.

4) So basically, I found no need to use time powers myself.

5) Weapons, at least from the demo, are rather unoriginal. Assault Rifle with mounted grenade launcher (Cough, HL2 SMG, Cough), a shotgun with alt-fire double shot (Cough, HL2 again, Cough) and a crossbow/sniper rifle conversion (Do I even need to say it... COUGH COUGH COUGH HALF LIFE 2 COUGH COUGH COUGH), oh, and a mounted machine gun.

6) I can't help but feel the games first level heavily mimics that of Half Life 2. Not only are the weapons features the same, but you start out seeing 2 citizen/rebels being executed by masked soldiers, you can hear the voice of some possible dictator over the emergency broadcast system, saying that everyone should calm down, and stop rebeling blah blah blah. The enemies even have masks that look sort of like combine, and get around in futuristic vehicals like APCs and Hoverships, and even these seemingly undefeatable walker things that are invulnerable to convention non-explosive weapons (You don't get to actually kill one in the game, but I can only imagine it takes a rocket launcher just like in Half Life 2). Play the demo, it feels a lot like Half Life 2.

So yeah, I'm not sure. It seems alright, for a demo, but I'm not sure how well it will play out when it is released.

RE: Timeshift
You can also rewind in the game Full Auto which is a bit like Twisted Metal...

That time rewind ability is pretty cool, as it changes the style of gameplay a bit. But it can also get a bit annoying if you overdo it.
