Why not add a snowman to the banner? Or something to symbolize the season.

I'm not offended by a.. santa hat.

Lots of websites do it, Google for example... and alot of Forums.

The Santa hat is a symbol for holiday :D

Yo, I think you should put back the little red guys as "New Post" icons.

These new red squares are too annoying.
