The Recent Purchase Thread

RE: The Recent Purchase Thread
-_-

IMO, gaming and learning should NOT go together.. I think that the only learning that should partake in a game is that of the game itself or the strategies and tactics of your opponent.

RE: The Recent Purchase Thread
Well I see nothing wrong with educational games, as long as they stay in their own genre. They are a "fun" way to refresh your knowledge or even learn something new. They are especially useful for kids and even adults. That Brain Age game for instance is quite popular among adults, which was surprising to me at first considering that it seemed to be aimed more at kids. Teenagers on the other hand tend to stick with the gore fest games :P

It's better to keep it that way (in regards to the educational games genre) or else they might try to force education down your throat in normal games, imagine solving a calculus problem to defeat a boss in an RPG? Not a good thing at all..

lol I have a friend that hates that game with a passion.

It's alright IMO but not something that I'd waste more than $15 on.

I've never played any other of the Katamari games before, but heard good things, it's good, but after awhile the game can't really go anywhere with itself, good idea, but too Bland at the same time.

completed it today too, and Bioshock...so they lasted like 2-3 days...bah!

Aww how cute and awkward SS. Hehe.

In reply to previous posts about my purchases, some things in Brain Age are a bit cheesy. Like what the doctor's head has to say. But it is very challenging.
As for Flash Focus, it is spot on for a serious game. And it does get hard. You can shake more than a stick at these games. I would recommend them.
