RE: PSP vs. 3DS vs. DSI XL
I went out and got a psp 3000 in silver. Its nice. The game selection has something to be desired, the megaman game that got a solid ratting kinda sucks, GTA Vice City Stories really blows. Gran Turismo for it isnt to bad, I like it, I am not to keen on the modification of cars in the game itself, I may not have unlocked it yet but it seems to me you cant do much with them. I am trying to find a way to play ps1 games on the psp, I think I can do it threw conversion, but I am thinking the 3000 is the most difficult to hack and run custom firmware so you can really play ps1 games. I am converting Gran Turismo 1 right now to the memory stick and am going to see if it actually works.
p.s. after doing some research I think I picked the wrong psp, as I cant get this one custom firmware being a 3000. -<2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Hemi>-<2003 Aprilia Falco R>-<1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8>-<1990 Nissan 300zx>- --Xbox 360--DS Lite--Laptop--Desktop-- |

RE: PSP vs. 3DS vs. DSI XL
Yeah, that's the bottom line really. :/ As is the case with a lot of things like the Wii, you often have to go with the older ones if you want to apply some hacks. Do you think you could return the PSP?

RE: PSP vs. 3DS vs. DSI XL
You can hack 3k's... Not as simple or effective as hacking an older PSP but you can do it.
If you can return the 3k, exchange it for a 1k (which is best) or a 2k. If you can't... http://wololo.net/wagic/hbl/ Is a homebrew loader depending on which firmware you have. http://psp.dashhacks.com/2011/05/29/psp-...6-released Custom firmware for 3k's. Again, depends on what firmware you're on. And also you could always look for a signed emulator. Any signed homebrew will work on an OFW. I've been out of the scene for a while, so I'm not up-to-date with the newest CFW's or am I up-to-date on how to install them. But hopefully this will get you started, you just need to do a bit of research on it. |

RE: PSP vs. 3DS vs. DSI XL
I went out and bought a 2k. Hacked it and only use it to play ps1 games on the sd card. Works great play the UMD's on the better screen and play the hack stuff on the 2k.
