Here are the current requirements to become a Veteran:

*You must have at least 450 posts.
*You must have NOT caused any serious problems previously and your warning level must be 0%
*You also must have been a member of the forum for at least 6 months.

Keep in mind that you may lose status if you break the rules or abuse the privileges that will come with the new user group. Serious offenses will result in a permanent ban! Don't break our trust.

At the moment this user group is called "Veteran" and the color is orange. As for special privileges here they are:

*Only this user group & above can warn.
*Only this user group & above can rate threads.
*Only this user group & above can give negative reputation (used to hide a spammer's post).

Keep in mind that this may change as time goes on. At times, Veterans may be given preferences in certain community related events such as contests at our sole discretion. Donating will NOT secure Veteran status as well, it must be earned as stated above.

This usergroup was created as a result of a suggestion of another forum member, It Made Me. It originally started out as a simple style related idea but has become a more prominent symbol. Members who are Veterans are committed to the community and as such are empowered to help maintain order in the community. They are not to replace the authority of a moderator/administrator but can still ban spammers and issue warnings to troublemakers when necessary.

Great. Good to see the Orange fleet of Veterans finally being implemented.

Maybe another requirement should be that your Warn Level is not above a certain %? e.g it must be under 50%??

Good suggestion, I just added that in. However, I think 40% is better, as 50% is rather high...

Yeah. Usually it's a permanent ban, but it depends on the offense.

So, the groups are only 1 thread? Auch! I imagined them better...

dx4, I think your referring to GROUPS. This thread is about the Veteran User Group which is totally different.

And the reason why the group is only one thread is because we are just testing it out for now. Also it's just supposed to be for fun so there's no need for having a whole forum dedicated to each individual group.

Yeah as long as you don't break any rules.

Once you get to 200 PM me, and I'll upgrade your status.

In April the amount of posts required to join this group will be increased to 350, I think it's fair as the forum has now gotten more activity so it's easier to post more.

Plus we can't have a flock of Veterans all at once, so this will help regulate it as well.
