My new PC!
I just got a new gaming pc and I was so excited I had to join another gaming forum and hear your guys' thoughts lol. I haven't gotten a new PC in over 5 years so I was long overdue and once Diablo 3 came out it was just an excuse to get a new one.
I selected all the parts I wanted based on my budget and needs etc. but I didn't want to build it on my own so I got it built at this website called http://www.ironsidecomputers.com At another forum they all beat me up for not building it myself but I'm too lazy lol. Plus I got liquid cooling idk if I could manage that on my own. Anyways here are the specs let me know what you think! RE: My new PC!
How much is this costing you and what games other than D3 are you planning to play on this rig?

RE: My new PC!
I'm curious about the price as well but spec wise, seems good. Probably will need to invest in one of those USB media card adapters though if you use SD cards often, aside from that, apparently you got all the essentials.

RE: My new PC!
What a lovely system you got there.
You sure that you are only gonna play Diablo 3 on that monster? I mean you can play A LOT OF new games, but if you only plan to play Diablo 3, you could just find a more cheaper computer for Diablo 3 that can run fine with 30/60 frames per second. That's just me saying, Have fun with your new rig. |

RE: My new PC!
It will definitely be cheaper to build it yourself. My system cost be around £1800 ($2804.22 US), but retail would have set me back twice as much. Also, I would not get Liquid Cooling unless you're seriously looking at overclocking it (and with those specs you won't have to for a long while). I've got the Noctua NH-D14 air cooler for my I7-2600K and it works wonders for keeping my temperature down. High GFX games and programs don't go above 50% CPU for me. Mind you that cooler is quite huge and I have a server case so it can fit in, plus enough vent.

RE: My new PC!
Thanks for the feedback!! one of the customer service guys at Ironside helped me pick out all the components. I told them I wanted a computer that would last me a long time and that could handle more graphic intense games. Plus I do alot of HD video editing and I wanted something that would give me smooth playback/quick rendering etc. as I'm editing. I'm really happy with what I got. I've mainly been playing Diablo 3 right now cause I'm a huge Diablo fan since the original one. As soon as I get tired of it though I'm thinking about playing Crysis 2, Battlefield 3, and Metro 2033 now that my system can handle it. I never had a chance to get into those games on my other computer cause it had nowhere near the power needed to play em.
The system cost me around $1400 which wasn't that much more than building it myself. I got free shipping too so I figure with the three year warranty and the professional wiring and all that other stuff it was worth the extra. Plus I didn't have to build it myself which was the best part lol. Anyone have any game recommendations btw? |

RE: My new PC!
Lord of the Rings: Online
Blacklight: Retribution Tribes: Ascend Team Fortress 2 Nexuiz Skyrim ArmA 2 and the mod DayZ (a zombie mod for ArmA 2 that takes you in a Zombie paradise/wasteland with alot of people hunting people down for supplies, it is heavily injected with a lot of realism.) Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit/The Run Max Payne 3 LA Noire Battlefield 3 Metro 2033 Mass Effect series (play them all) It's up to you though, there are a lot of good games that have been released this year, i mean it when i say a lot! plus Steam has a lot of Free-to-Play games that you might get fond with after awhile. Lord of the Rings: Online Blacklight: Retribution Tribes: Ascend Team Fortress 2 The games above are one of the Free-to-Play games in steam that is fun and great at the same time. |

Just don't delete save games just yet so you can continue your adventure with Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 with your Mass Effect 1 character through Import your Character. It does Import your Character, but also imports your statistics throughout Mass Effect 1 to Mass Effect 2. incase if you don't know it yet. |
