RE: Left 4 Dead free Demo!
I hope they eventually release a public demo, although I'd prefer it for the 360 as that I can actually play.

I'll be looking forward to your reply as I've been anticipating this game as well.

What!? That's like the best part about it, assuming they do it right. It's like those RPGs with randomly generated dungeons, that's what makes them good as it keeps it interesting and gives you a unique experience every time. It's hardly any fun when you know exactly what's going to happen..

not for gamers like me who enjoy doing speed runs... plus you could fall in love with a game and its never going to be the same. what if... lets say your a huge fan of Oddworld like me... i LOOOOVE Oddworld, and i would be pissed if the game that i love so much was different every time i played it... it wouldnt be the game i love if that happened. i want to play left for dead... but im already starting to hate it cause its ALL i hear about. if it lives up to the hype then great... but i dont think it will... thats just me. but i dont see why everyones freaking out... if you have ever played an online game... ITS DIFFERENT EVERYTIME! if you play cs or half life online or team fortress 2, yes your doing the same games but its different everytime. just like left 4 dead... your going to be playing the same game types but the bad guys will do different stuff........ thats not next gen... its not different at all. it is for AI doing it... but... big deal. i just dont see why everyone is freaking out about it.

RE: Left 4 Dead free Demo!
I see your point, however Oddworld is a different genre..And those RPGs with the random dungeons, such dungeons have little effect over the shifting of the storyline as I believe if there's a boss, the boss will still be there. It's just that you might fight different monsters at different times, and that the dungeon will have a different shape perhaps.

In this game, intelligent AI is highly important as imagine if you could easily predict where the zombie is coming from..it would be lame. So far Alien Vs. Predator Gold's skirmish mode has had the best AI I've seen for a game of that genre and for the time it was made. That's my expectation for L4D, will it meet it, I don't know but I hope it does. If not, then I probably won't be getting it as it'll just be a recycled CS experience with zombies as you said.

RE: Left 4 Dead free Demo!
well even so, its not possible to have a different game EVERY time you play. nothing is infinite in computers cause it takes a code to do it, there are only a certain number of codes you can do for it. so even if they make 1 million scenarios... then it would be possible to play them all. basically what im trying to say is there is going to be a set number of scenarios... can we not all agree on that, because without the code there will be nothing... there cant be an infinite amount of scenarios, so even if the scenarios are picked at random it will be very possible for you to get the same one a 2nd time. and i do agree that avp has some awesome AI.

RE: Left 4 Dead free Demo!
Yeah if you go that deep into the technicality then it's probably not infinite, but for the average person to play all those scenarios, they seriously need to see some sunlight ASAP and like I said, it's better than what's currently available for the most part as once you beat the game, and replay it, it's the same crap again and it loses value IMO.
