besides ultimate mortal kombat for ds, i cant really think of a whole lot of fighters for the ds. is anyone with me when i say i hope to someday see some capcom, sega or snk fighting compilation games someday? they really need to consider this. plus with online play... why wouldnt this be coming out soon?

Yeah the online play in MK was pretty stable from what I remember so it's definitely possible to pull it off. I've heard that Bleach was good as well but haven't given the new one a try. As for the the Capcom fighters, it's possible that we might eventually see one (maybe even sooner than expected) as there is a Wii game called "Tatsunoko vs. Capcom" that's coming out soon (in the US, as it's been out in Japan for a while) which means that Capcom isn't completely overlooking Nintendo although I honestly would prefer some sort of 2D Smash Bros. adaptation instead as that would probably work better IMO.

Yeah i have actually been waiting for Tasunoko vs. capcom for quite awhile. ive known about that game for a long time but of course like you said... no us release. although that would be a pretty good title for ds. im also hoping to see someday soon and new addition to capcom vs. snk.

how is ultimate mortal kombat? MKII is one of my favorite games as a child and one of the few games i feel i every truly mastered.

You can play online or against other friends? Is it strictly DS?

Pretty good but hard. As for the multiplayer, it supports online versus either random people or friends.

Does it have the classic mortal kombat gameplay? or is it more like the newer 3d mortal kombat post MK4 which i have yet to find any interest in playing.

Classic style (MKIII basically), it also has this other game mode called Puzzle Kombat which was pretty fun.

Nintendo doesn't seem to believe it has much of any real market for these types of games, that's the main reason they don't want to release any.

Most of the good titles that would appeal to the "core" audience (Tatsunoko vs Capcom, No More Heroes) are pirated like crazy because of the almost complete lack of restriction on the Wii.

All it takes is a simple replacement of a chip and your Wii can now play games from burned CDs.

Sweet, maybe i'll just have to check it out and "test my might"
