I'm pretty satisfied with how Zombies has progressed over time even with the first Black Ops as after each DLC, it got better and better. As far as Black Ops 2 is concerned haven't gotten the new DLC for it yet but it looks promising from the gameplay videos I've seen. That versus mode looks like a lot of fun.
