Blu-Ray VS HD-DVD ( Another Sony VS Microsoft )

RE: Blu-Ray VS HD-DVD ( Another Sony VS Microsoft )
I'm fine with standard DVDs as well. However, in terms of games Blu-Ray can benefit them by allowing more content on the disc due to the increased storage. But I doubt Microsoft will make the switch, and if they do, hopefully the games stay in the standard format as I don't want to shell out more $ to play a game on my 360.

What I didn't like is that Sony could have given the people a choice to choose the standard HD DVD, or get the optional Blu Ray. If you got the HD DVD, later one for a bit more cash you could expand the console and have both types of players. It would still stay cost effective giving you time to decide on getting the extension later on.
That way you have the best of both worlds.

Cactaur, this is not the thread for discussing that topic. If you want to know, use the search function and look for an already existing thread, or create a new thread asking about it.

Yes. That is an old issue now anyway. It was fixed quite a while back.

I really I am not impressed with the new formats. I was expecting something like shifting from a dvd to a chip. Like it was shifting from vhs to dvd.

Oh, kind of like what you see on all of those sci-fi shows. A data chip, or a data cube? Or something of the such?

i.e. Movies on flash drives.
