Quote:Last time I checked the 360 was still selling like crazy. And I know a LOT of people that are buying 360s once Halo 3 comes out.

Blah blah, yeah, you buy an Xbox for 2 months, then throw it away. Replace it, and play it for other 2 months, and throw it away.

How much money microsoft will lose? Its selling 1 console, and giving 4 for free. Soon it will fall, the giant company needs loads of money to support Vista and their division. They already throwed loads of money, they will fall soon.

Quote:And it wont fry 360s, I don't know where you come off making such a random claim. Cite your sources or don't say it.

Bioshock did. My sources? Hell, where do you live? The Xbox 360 is a disposable console, play it for 2 weeks and it will fry. Send it to microsoft for 2 months then it will come back and play again. It will fry...etc. The cycle of nature.
Quote:I wont buy a PS3, MAYBE when it costs less than 400$ for a mid-top tier one, but that's far off. It just doesn't offer much. Maybe Killzone 2, MGS4 and Heavenly Sword, but other than that none of the games, in development or out, interest me.

That proves that you are nothing but mad at Sony because thier console is 499$.

I said Halo 3 will sell indeed like crack. People are waiting for that game and loads of them are prepared to buy Micro$oft's broken Xbox for it. But soon it will lose its charm, specialy with new Sony's PlayStationNetwork and all the great games coming on it.

Halo 3 is an overhyped game like the Wii was an Overhyped console, soon will lost its charm. You will see.

Im pretty sure this is one battle Sony will win. Blockbuster in the UK which rents DVDs etc. Has dropped the HD DVD from some of its stores.

Perhaps if Microsoft would of included the HD playing ability in their console from the start it would of had a better chance, however at a lower cost of course. Because last time I checked it was like $100+ for the HD DVD add-on for the 360.

Yes, there are 6 million blu-ray drivers on this world. :P And alot less HD-DVD drivers in the same world. And yes, blu-ray will definitely win this war as I said before, only the adult industry's will declare the winner. And they choosed blu-ray over HD-DVD.

This is an old thread dude.

But I do wonder what some of the members up there would say now. PS3 is way behind in sales. Xbox 360 Has kept up sales, but beginning to shake. And now with Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii, Nintendo console sales are continuing to climb now with well over 20 million sold.

While a game can be really pretty and have good gameplay at the same time, amazing graphics can NOT stand in for horrible gameplay. This is something Sony needs to learn YESTERDAY if they are going to do well.

The whole Blu-Ray vs. DVD thing isn't going to make a difference any time soon. Maybe in a couple of years, but not within the next month or anything.

The reason is the technology for actually reading Blu-Ray discs will have to come down in price.

On the whole Halo 3 thing, why the F**K can you beat people to death with a tank in forge mode? Seriously, you just become a drone, and carry a tank around, beating the living bajeebus out of anyone stupid enough to be on your freakin' map! WTF!?

RE: Blu-Ray VS HD-DVD ( Another Sony VS Microsoft )
hmm... my decision on this goes several different ways. If i HAD to buy one of them it would be HD-DVD cause ive noticed they are cheaper, but... apparently they have lost. If money isnt an issue i would go with blu-ray. Then again i dont have to choose one so i dont. I could give a crap less about HD "movies". My mum recently bought herself a big HD tv and being someone who has played 360 on it, personally i think it looks awesome, but believe me... after playing a console like 360 or PS3 on an HD tv, the HD channels and movies just dont look very HD anymore. So my final decision would be... i would rather buy regular dvds.

Blu Ray won out in the end. Well, i guess sony really didn't want to lose another format war. (RIP Beta Max.)
