Age Of Empires II random crashes ?
So I've been playing AoE for a few years now and recently on this computer ( a few months), since i started on this one I started using GameRanger for multiplayer with my friends, a room with up to 5 persons incl. me was fine, then a 6th guy joined and it wont start, as soon as I'm ready and the host clicks start (whether it's me or one of my friends) it crashes, although I have 4 gigs of ram so I should easily handle it like any modern pc would.

I'm not sure if it's caused by the 6th person or if it is just something else

TY in advance. :)

RE: Age Of Empires II random crashes ?
While I agree that you should have enough RAM, maybe there is a program in the background hogging your resources. Monitor task manager before you start up the game and close anything using a lot of resources that's not vital. What could have happened is that you have something running now that you didn't before which is putting an extra load.

Also are you getting any specific error messages when it crashes?

Well you were kinda late so I fixed it already, the game files messed up that's all, I re-downloaded it (bought it before but the CD is full of scratches, used my key) and it's working well.

TY anyway :D
