Sonic and the Secret Rings
Anybody else played this? I don't think it's a bad game, pretty much what I'd of expected if you'd told me Nintendo were releasing a Sonic game on the Wii. It looks fantastic and the gameplay is, at times, very fast-paced, and whilst it has one or two level design problems and "challenges" that could test the patience of a Saint, I think it's well worth playing.
The series of multiplayer games are interesting too - Some innovative use of the remote, for instance, and with room for upto 4 players, is another party game. The only gripe I had with it was the way your progress could be hindered by the odd whirlpool or breeze - Nothing worse than beating your mates all the way through only to lose on the line courtesy of a bit of bad luck

RE: Sonic and the Secret Rings
After playing the demo for Sonic the Hedgehog for the 360 I sort of lost hope in modern Sonic games.
The DS versions of it are quite good though. As for the Wii versions haven't played this particular game but have played the Mario & Sonic Olympic game which was pretty good. The multiplayer on that game is worthwhile. Counter Strike 300 Read The Forum Rules Pwnem Veteran <- This explains what it is and how to become one. |

RE: Sonic and the Secret Rings
I read the articles about this game and I am not surprised it is real great. But worthwhile for a clean game for the kids. And at $20.00, cost effective.

RE: Sonic and the Secret Rings
I didn't really take to the new gameplay style of Secret Rings, but it's the Best Sonic game in 3D so far, mind you that isn't saying much at all.

Hehe, I got the WII version of this, it's okay, but I wouldn't recommend this, the controls take forever to get right (you can literally have your WiiMote at a 90degree angle, and not be turning the slightest, it is extremely fussy.) And, the multilayer is a bit of a rip of Super Mario Party, but fun, nonetheless, although personally, I would have preferred battles, or races. All in all it's okay, but not good for new Wii owners. @Deadpool The price dropped quite rapidly :S I got mine for a rip-off price of $49.99 (Canadian) @DeathNoteL You can always whip out the old sega! Question: How is this for other systems? Out of the millions of billions of things to put here, I chose to put this. |

RE: Sonic and the Secret Rings
I believe this game is a Wii exclusive.
But there are modern Sonic games for other consoles, just not this one in particular. Counter Strike 300 Read The Forum Rules Pwnem Veteran <- This explains what it is and how to become one. |
