First of all, your main character (or the boy at least), looks freaking retarded..

Secondly, all of the pokemon towards the start of the game look bloody childish. I know it's probably considered as a kids game by some/most people, but that doesn't mean resorting to making 'em look like little beavers with big puppy eyes... I mean, for example, spearow looked fierce, and Bulbasaur, Charmander, and even Squirtle had a sense of "Yeah, I'm tough" about 'em.. But you can't really get that from a tiny penguin, a leafy turtle, or a bloody chimp!!!

And there's probably more I could bitch about if I bothered to sit down and play the game, but I couldn't be bothered about it.. but you never know, I might actually ending up liking it... But not now...

Yeah the Pokemon were rather watered down in both Diamond & Pearl. But it doesn't really surprise me, although as you said at least in the previous Pokemon games they looked a tad bit more "tough". Take Mewtwo for instance, I haven't been able to find it's equivalent in the more recent games in terms of appearance.

But as far as the gameplay goes, it still feels like Pokemon even though the Pokemon themselves look more like vulnerable pedobear targets.

Ooooh don't get me started on those freaky little pokemon. Lol. I will give you a month Aryon, and you will be praising it.

Ok, let me reiterate... IF I decide to give it another go, it'll probably be in another couple years from now, when they've released the next pokemon, and whether I deem it good, or even more so terrible...

Also, Fire Red and Leaf Green were bloody good concepts, and I enjoyed them for the most part... The only thing that I found annoying about 'em, is the fact that it has the extra pokemon, and those shitty extra islands, which are really no good apart from getting Ho-oh..
Because truthfully, when I played Leaf Green, All I used were the original pokemon, didn't use any of the newer ones AT ALL... Sure, I caught 'em, but didn't battle with 'em...

I kind of miss Pokemon games. I have my original gameboy still, seeing as most places won't take it as a trade-in anymore.

I wonder if I still have any pokemon games...

Anyway, how is it compared to Pearl/Diamond? I hear it's supposed to be around the same thing except with some visual enhancements and more content to add to the gameplay.
