Simple Editing
Suggestion:

An option that allows you to switch between 'simple editing' and 'complex editing'.

Simple editing is just basically word only, without script commands such as (b) (i) (u) (list)

and

Complex editing is basically with it, [which we do have]

RE: Simple Editing
It would be handy in some situations, but I tend to only use simple editing if its just problems with the wording, or I messed up a bb-code (i.e. forgot the / in the close tag)..

But I see where you're coming from. Now just gotta wait for gamers opinion.

RE: Simple Editing
I'm not sure what you mean by simple editing.

Are you referring to formatting posts using something similar to how it's done via Microsoft Word versus using the codes for it?

RE: Simple Editing
its like when you make a post, then you realized you messed up, but instead of going all the way back to the page that lets you edit with smiley faces and add picture links and all that, it just pops up right there and lets you fix the mistake, then you hit done and it just puts it up, no going to a different page or anything... but i thought we had that.

edit: yeah we do i just used it, quick edit.... is that what your talking about?

RE: Simple Editing
I think he means that WHILE you're in quick editing, if there was a little button that allowed you to go straight from there to the complex editing page..

RE: Simple Editing
Eek, I guess I should've posted that example that was lingering in my mind hours ago.

Anyway, here's an example.

RE: Simple Editing
I still don't know what feature you're requesting...

The code you posted works fine except that instead of parenthesis you have to use brackets.

Also you don't have to memorize those codes. When you use the "full edit" feature you are given a editor that will take care of the most essential codes which are basically for formatting text.

RE: Simple Editing
Precisely the point.

I know that you have to use brackets and I also know that you don't need to memorize as you can use it in full edit.

I was using parenthesis to show what it is like when you do put the codes on.

When you're editing with these codes, it gets messy, especially when you have a lot to post.

I'd like a button that switches how you view it; one with the codes, and one without.

RE: Simple Editing
Ah, I know what you're referring to right now.

At the moment that's only possible when hitting the preview button. As for implementing a better editor that will do that automatically, perhaps later on.

Thanks for your input though.
