Show off your computer at SpecBox
My friends and I have built a social networking site for gamers. Now... before the inevitable "so what" comment... This site is for gamers to share their system information. It isn't trying to be a replacement for any other social site out there (aka... Facebook) or forums. I've noticed over the years that gamers tend to put their computer info in their signature lines or show it off in their clan forums. This site goes one GIANT step forward with that idea.

So, if you are interested... http://www.specbox.net

RE: Show off your computer at SpecBox
I like the site concept.

However, I have some suggestions:

Rather than having "Keyboard/Mouse" field have a field for each rather than it displaying "Keyboard/Mouse" twice.
So for example on your SpecBox it should say:
Keyboard: Kensington SlimType Ultra
Mouse: Logitech Mice G5 Laser Mouse

And I see you support two languages already (English & Spanish) you may want to consider adding German as well as there seem to be a lot of German users on forums.

Counter Strike 300
Read The Forum Rules
Pwnem Veteran <- This explains what it is and how to become one.

RE: Show off your computer at SpecBox
Thanks for the feedback GaMeR!

We originally played around with having them in separate categories. I will put that in the hopper for our next office meeting. :)

As far as languages... we have French almost complete. I agree that German would be a great addition. The primary problem with languages is that it is really hard to find translators to do the work without paying an arm and a leg. Our site doesn't seem that big, but it has A LOT of text to translate.

Thanks for the ideas. Keep them coming.
