I use to be a RS fanatic. It was sad...

For a while I went hermit, never went and saw mates, couldn't socialize properly... luckily my gf got me away from the whole buzz of computers.... no actually visual basics and web design did... and signing pointless petitions online lol.

I give the developers credit for making it so addicting, when I was hooked on it, I was hooked...

However, I quit after a while as it got a bit boring and the fact that I didn't like the new 3D version. It did help me get familiarized with MMORPGs though, so it wasn't a total waste of time. And while the community had various scammers and backstabbers there were some decent players out there who were worth talking to.

It was a really cool game at the time but eventually most get bored of it. Except the small few that are completely addicted.

Yeah, it really can dominate lives.
I've been hooked twice, I'm off it now.

Did anyone here ever play on the member servers?

I did, and there was way more to do. There were new monsters, weapons (dragon), spells, quests, and features such as dueling.

If I would of been a member I probably wouldn't have quit right away...

However, the actual gameplay sort of stayed the same, you just clicked the hell of it something. Only the dueling/pking system seems worthwhile IMO.

Runescape is kinda boring but if you don't have something better to do......

I was a member both times, and it really unlocks a wealth of content.

Definitly worth the money you pay for it.
