RE: Religion
Meh, love is an overrated chemical imbalance.
Personally I'm agnostic, as I've stated. In other words, I believe in *something* (and not *nothing*, like atheists), but I reject each an every one of the choices given to me and opt into waiting to see. ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |

RE: Religion
OK, personally, it has to be 'defined'. For me, it's love.
However, you say 'something' but it isn't defined to a specific subject... That's kind of like if you believed in a higher power. |

RE: Religion
Doesn't mean I do. It means that I believe in something (IE not someone), that there is something more to life than working and dying and such.
If you're asking, no, I don't believe in any form of god, or sole entity that control existence. ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |

RE: Religion
Out of curiosity, how do you guys/girls think life started? Only serious answers..
I believe a divine being created it, however, that leads to another question which I along with many others can't answer at the moment, how was that divine being created? But I feel it's more logically than some comets clashing...Why? Because what created those comets? Humans are complex creatures, I highly doubt two large rocks created such a thing. RE: Religion
Well, not a divine being per se, but a being who has[d] 'everything.'
The being couldn't contain that last bit of information to have everything so the cycle restarted once again. It's kind of like karma, ya know what I mean/ I hope that made sense xP |

RE: Religion
I think it's stupid for us to try and wrap our minds around existance as a whole because in the grand scheme of things, existance has absolutely nothing to do with us.
The universe is most likely infinite in size (and to those who disagree, think of it like an apple in a kitchen, if the universe (apple) ends, what comes after that? The room, of course.), and people really aren't that complex. As for "serious answers", being that we're all people here (I hope), any answer can be as serious as the next. For someone to say someone elses theory is stupid, is a grand form of ignorance being that people are just people, you can't honestly know reasons from the scope of earth. So my theory could be anything from the Universe being some grand creation, to the Star Ocean Theory that we're all one big reality TV show that some grander species created to laugh at, to even more "ridiculous" theories that this universe can be one atom, inside of one skin cell, inside of one testicle, inside of one grown mans ballsack in another entire universe that mimics this one. "Existential" talk makes my brain ache, so enough for now. ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |

RE: Religion
Well by serious answers I wasn't really dismissing the Big Bang theory amongst other theories, I was just stating my opinion on them, but I didn't want to see really ridiculous answers like Master Chief's sweat created a round spherical object that after decades developed into cellular creatures that suddenly transformed into what we call humans..etc.
And as you said technically no one is correct about their theory for sure since they haven't been able to prove it 100%. Plus humanity hardly knows what's going on in the present... Xbox Gamer Blog Read The Forum Rules Pwnem Veteran <- This explains what it is and how to become one. |

RE: Religion
My points are(hopefully) going to be in numbered order.
1. GaMeR made my point, that people will do exactly what God says not to do, and say he told them to, if they wish. 2.I am a Reformed Christian, I believe in the 7-day creation,Fall, Crucifixion and all. 3.Somebody IS correct because it is not possible that God does AND doesn't exist, that the Big Bang did And didn't happen etc. 4.We can too hope to understand the universe, I understand that there is more than I could possibly hope to grasp, but that God has it all under control. 5. You said that Christians are a bunch of Bigots and Haters... Have you EVER cracked a FREAKING Bible? Jesus Preached" Loved your neighbor as yourself, Turn the Other Cheek" He DIED for us! It is the Flawed(extremely) carrying out of these commands that makes it like that. 6. Martin Luther king Jr., Abe Lincoln,Washington(I think), they were CHRISTIANS. 7. The Bible says homosexuality is wrong, it does NOT say" Smear the Queer", it says (basically)"Love the Sinner Hate the Sin", Same with the others.Again, it is the Humans trying to do that who go to far. I 'll get around to the Rest later. Recon Armor ![]() /\Nailpoint- Close Your Eyes/\ |

RE: Religion
Vote4Drizzt Wrote:My points are(hopefully) going to be in numbered order. ![]() Typical Christian, you only look at what your "bible" says and completely ignore all the tragedies and hate caused by your religion. I don't need to crack a bible. The words written in it don't get anywhere close to the ACTIONS committed in its name. I could write "I love everyone" on a piece of paper, then rampage through a shopping mall with a chainsaw. Do you think the cops are going to look at the paper and go "Well hey, he did write "I love everyone", no trouble here eh?". You sit in front of your computer like a typical person, read a few cute stories from your bible, and turn a blind eye to the world at large. You say with utmost certainty that your religion is "good", without a vague clue of what is going on in the world right now because of it. If, as you say, all of these occurrences only occurred because people are misinterpreting, then I still stand by what I said. Religion should be abolished. Because if "misunderstanding" is the cause of the Crusades, The Holocaust, Radical Islamists, ext, then it's more trouble then it's worth. Without religion, this world would probably have more medicines, do to stem-cell research. People wouldn't be discriminated against so much, causing suicides, murders and much more. Without religion, those Islamo-fascists over seas wouldn't be killing our troops, hell without religion 9/11 may have never happened. Without religion the Holocaust may very well not have occurred, without religion the Crusades and countless wars in history may have never taken place. Without religion, people wouldn't be depressed and down because society calls their love "perverse" and "wrong", without religion people could love one another without 100 of you fascists pounding down on them with laws and politics. Without religion, this world would be a safer, less discriminatory place. You Catholics judge too many people, call too many things wrong and work to abolish too many normal activities that us normal people find no problem with. I know a lot of homosexuals, and every single one of them that I know of, believe this world would be better off without you fascists polluting politics and laws. I don't care what side of the spectrum you come from, if people want to believe something let them, but I'm tired of your religion influencing the politics and decisions of people in power. It makes life harder for almost everyone who doesn't share your religion. Even if your god was real, let's say for a moment, and he saw the world today. What would he think? If, as you say, people are misinterpreting his words, what would he think of the atrocities committed in his name. I'd believe he wouldn't be pleased. I'm sure some good has been done in his name, maybe a few orphans fed, maybe a homeless person given a job. Whatever it is, the good that has been done doesn't stack up to all the hate and prejudice caused by your religion, it gets nowhere close. I don't care what you believe in, but I'm tired of it seeping its way into politics and law. It has no place there. ![]() http://getoutofherestalker.blogspot.com/ |
