Red Steel
Keep in mind that it was the Wii's first FPS so it wasn't that great.

However, for the most part it's a good game for both single and multiplayer. Too bad there's no online play though :(

In single player, the best part is the sword fighting IMO. Your opponents sometimes don't even use a sword but instead another object such as a baseball bat.

As for the graphics and controls, they could both use improvements but it's manageable. The controls are a bit hard to get used to at first though. And the problem with the graphics is that somethings there's some minor graphical glitch for a few seconds during the cut scenes. But it could be because I purchased it used as it has some scratches..

Another downside is that you can't seem to do the 1 on 1 sword fighting in multiplayer, you can only do the paralyzing stab..

However, at under $20 used it's worth it IMO. Sure it's not the best FPS game in the world nor even for the Wii, but if you're looking for a low priced title to keep you busy for a while or to serve as a decent multiplayer game then give Red Steel a go.

I haven't gotten too far as I usually only played multiplayer and recently got back to playing single player again.. But when I get a bit further or even complete the game I'll probably write a longer review and post it in the reviews section.

RE: Red Steel
I played a couple of levels and got bored.
Controls are fun but i fins it gets boring. Definitly the right way to start FPS wii though.
It can only get better after that.

RE: Red Steel
Hopefully Red Steel 2 will be better, and offer some 1 on 1 sword fighting in multiplayer, as well as online multiplayer and maybe even some intelligent bots.

As for Red Steel 1 getting boring after a while, I think it's due to the rather unintelligent AI. The enemies actions are sort of predictable after a while and they don't efficiently pursue you.
