Red Dawn
Now, while I'm sure some of you live under rocks, I'm hoping everyone has seen this movie.

It's amazing, at one point held the world record for most violence in a movie, and had a pretty nifty story (for it's time, now it's been done 100 times), about the Russians invading (which, in 1980 whatever, was a legitimate scare), and a group of high school kids using Guerrilla tactics against the Russians.

If you haven't seen it, you really need to. The website above streams it live, so no downloads, and no virus/spyware.

Also, in b4 "lol illegal", I could care less, it's 20 years old. The only people still making money off of it are the Time Warner/MGS Studios, and I could care less about them, to be honest.

RE: Red Dawn
Nah, this actually has a coherant plot. Battle Royale was basically loli-guro, a bunch of schoolgirls killing each other.

This movie has a slightly better plot, and is an example of Hollywood back when the movies from there were good.

Here's all the pictures I could find:

Probably DVD cover:

A bunch of Russian Soldiers and what looks like a BMD-1 huddled around Mcdonalds.

One of the enigmatic Wolverines, the heroes of the story.

RE: Red Dawn
Loved this movie when it came out. Watched it last year again and wow I must have been young. Guess it was ok for it's time, but if it were released at the theatre today it wouldn't fair well.

Actually, I am one of those people that did not see this movie. I was too busy playing video games.
Is it bloody violent?

For its time, it was.

Now it's basically PG-13.

I would attribute this more to the steady decline in intelligence by American movie-goers in the past 20 years.

RE: Red Dawn
Just like a lot of kids not knowing what in the heck a drive in movie theater is, or what a soda fountain does.

RE: Red Dawn
Drive in movie theater is a rather bad example, as it's just as the name says.. Unless of course you're dealing with kids who don't know what a theater is... I met a kid once that ONLY watched movies on the internet, he'd never watched a DVD, VHS, or gone to the cinemas....
