Here I will type the reasons why the PlayStation 3 will prevail. You have the rights also to contribute and discuss and bash :P.

- The PS3 is selling neck to neck with Xbox 360 with no games.

- The PS3 is selling neck to neck with Xbox 360 and they havent yet touched their catalogue.

- The PS3 has blu-ray driver.

- The PS3 games uses dual layer discs which has 60GB capacity.

- The PS3 uses cell process which is the strongest proccesor on the world (Currently).

- The PS3 offers variety of games. From actions to platformer, from RPG to FPS.

- The PS3 offers games for everyone, casual or hardcore.

- The PS3 is a complete entertainment machine.

- The PS3 has quality games

- Sony was the console leader for over than 12 years.

- Sony knows whats its doing, unlike some other companies. (*Hint* *HINT*)

- PlayStation 3 offers better rumble pack, touch sense dual shock 3.

- PlayStation 3 offers more killer apps. (Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Jak and Daxter, God of war..etc)

- The PlayStation is better investment than any console.

- Sony is a solid company, and still pumping money on their gaming department (This November they are pumping 4 Billion Dollars.)

- PlayStation 3 is more innovative than its rival.

- PlayStation 3 supports the open source movement.

- You can install Linux on the PS3.

- PlayStation 3 support 1080p HD.

there is no doubt it will...but right now...there is nothing really for it but once the wheels start rolling.... it will be the best system

1. that can be argued becasue nintendo has been around more and it wasn't till the gamecube everyone started to veer away from it.

You made some valid points, however...

- The PlayStation is better investment than any console.

That's not true, as IMO the Wii is the best investment at the moment. For such a low price, you get a great system which could be the primary console if your a casual gamer, or a great add-on if your a hardcore gamer. Plus, if your on a tight budget, don't worry about it too much as it comes with Wii Sports already. So at least you have something to play. Plus it's a great way to master the Wiimote.

- PlayStation 3 is more innovative than its rival.

While the PS3 does offer better graphics, and can handle large games due to blu ray, it has only added eye candy to gaming, while the Wii has changed gaming a bit and made it more interactive. Also the 360 was the first one to truly provide a great online experience and efficiently use the Internet with the console allowing you to download demos, buy mini games, and rank you with thousands of other gamers online. The PS3 didn't start that, it just continued where Microsoft left off, and is trying to improve it, so I give them merit for that, however, they don't deserve full credit.

FYI nintendo has had internet connections built in their systems since the N64..but was never fully used because the next gen came out.

1. Yes, Nintendo has been the console leader for several years but it has failed on the last 12 years.

2. Yes, Nintendo knows what its doing. Scamming people, selling a gamecube with a WiiMote.

3. Your point? We get Six-Axis + The newest dual shock 3 rumble pach with touch sesne technology. "Next Generation rumble pack" unlike the primitive ones on the 360 and the Wii.

4. It started with Nintendo but they left it, since Nintendo never tries to improve itself. You know the real reason? Because while Nintendo was using cartidges Sony was using CDs, and CDs has more capacity than cartdiges. And PlayStation hardware machine were better than Nintendo's.

5. Well, considering you are paying for something that has 7 years life cycle, yes it is better investment. You get a blu-ray driver + A powerful console with powerful games.

Why? For only a price of 399$ you get a blu-ray driver, you get an entertaiment system, the most powerful console on the market that has a life cycle of 7 years. They sell it with loss unlike Nintendo Wii. You pay 200$ for Nintendo Wii you play it for 2 months then you get bored with it. Because your friends are getting Clive Parker Jericho while you are waving your arms on a childish game.

I meant the company, they are creating new games such as Little Big Planet and Eye of judgment. Adding the Six-Axis and the touch sense rumble pack to the controller.

Also, you are wrong about blu-ray disk. The extra capacity means more sound track, more levels, more weapons, more content, better graphics, more of everything.

Well the sound track and graphics is part of the eye candy, however, the levels and other stuff do make the games longer and more in depth. So there is more to blu ray. But you also have to remember that the $399 PS3 is DOUBLE the price of a Wii. So of course the Wii won't be able to do as much.

What I'm saying is that for $200 it's worth it. And I highly doubt Sony is taking a loss, while they might lose $ producing the console, they are making the money back with the price of the games and other stuff they sell related to the PS3. So in reality they aren't taking a loss at all, it's just part of their marketing.
