Ok, my moms boyfriend recently bought a PS3 and I went to his place one night and checked it out. My first thought was: This is f***ing ugly! Then I figured out how to eject the disc and I'm like "This is dumb" and the shape of it, "wtf". Seriously it is ugly and as far as performance goes I can't comment too much because I only played PS2 games on it

I'm not a fan of it either.

Xbox 360 Elite looks better, anyway, as for performance you won't get much out of it playing PS2 games. Tell him to rent or buy Resistance The Fall of Man, I heard it's a good shooter for the PS3. Tekken's probably going to be the best game for it :P

It's not ugly at all! I think it's a lot sexier than my white 360

And as Gamer said, you can't really expect it to be fantastic with PS2 games ... get RFOM as recommended, I'm sure you'll change your mind then ;)

And why is the disc eject "dumb"? I thought those touch sensitive buttons were a nice addition :)

I wouldnt say ugly but it is kinda blanned. It doesnt exactly make you want to buy it on looks alone. Mind you I felt the same way about the PS2 when it first came out.

It seems like sony just copied the looks of PS2 and modified it a bit. Didnt like the look of PS2 and certainly dont like the looks of the PS3.

Microsoft really did something with the design. It just looks cool and attractive. Sony should work on that.

I agree, Sony didn't really pull off a unique look with the PS3. Microsoft on the other hand redid the "Xbox" design, and ended up with a good looking console. And the 360 controller is very comfortable, I use it as a gamepad on the PC, since it's Windows compatible.

You can use the normal Xbox controller for your pc ?

I think you misunderstood my post, I said 360 controller, so I meant the Xbox 360 controller. You just plug it in to your Windows based PC and it should pick it up automatically (on Vista or XP). If XP doesn't pick it up right away, then get the drivers from Microsoft.

And then configure the game to use your gamepad as you would do with any other joystick/gamepad.

Oh yeah and you can use the old Xbox controller too, but you need this adapter that's Xbox to USB. You can find it @ eBay or this online gaming store. I'll post the link when I find it.
