This was posted before but no one really commented accept on the pricing thing as it sort of got lost in mines and foxes slagging matches

I feel I have some good points here and would like to discuss them if possible.

Games Section

When it comes down to it a ps3 and xbox360 are pretty much the same and cando the same things. Fan boys a side, most people don’t really care about What graphic card or CPU’s are in there consoles. To most peeps the graphics capabilities on these 2 machines are pretty much identical.

Snake mentioned about the ps3 being hard to program for which I am not arguing about, but it would be interesting to hear how this has affected any Games getting released on ps3 or the quality of games that have been released? To my knowledge most games that are released on the Xbox 360 are Released on the ps3 apart from the Xbox exclusive games.

you also hear a lot about the Xbox 360 having more games available which makes sense as the Xbox 360 was released a whole year before the ps3. It would be interesting to see how many multi-format games and Exclusive games have been released on the consoles since November 2006 when the ps3 Was released.

Hardware section

The only reason the Xbox 360 has sold more than the ps3 is the price and when it was released, if they both were released at the same time and were the same price the ps3 would be winning the console war.

I have had a wee look into prices and I think you do get value for money when you buy a ps3.

To make the an Xbox 360 the same sort of spec as a ps3 it may actually cost people more in the long run as you can see from the prices above.

The other argument I hear against ps3 is that it’s a lot more expensivethan the 360, but this is going to be the case due the ps3 having a bitmore hardware in it than an Xbox 360. Talking about prices look at how muchthe Xbox 360 elite is, all because they put in bigger hard drive and fullvHD capabilities. So I don’t think the PS3 is over priced.

At the moment the Xbox 360 wipes the floor with the online abilities of aps3 but remember you are paying for this service, at the mo ps3 is freeto play online, Im sure when PS3 Home comes out the online abilities will be better.

When it comes down to it if you just want a Games machine then yes I wouldsay the Xbox 360 standard is a great buy, but if you are wanting a smart looking all in one media centre then a ps3 is a much better buy.

Please note none of my comments above have been degrading to the Xbox 360.

If any thing i have stated about either consolesare incorrect please feel free to correct me, im sure some one will mention the console war section lol.

It affects the games getting ported to the PS3 in release dates, Bioshock is getting released on the PS3 in November, 2008. It's been on the 360 for ages now, granted there may benew features and content that will make this a must-have game for its new audience, but for it's original audience(which i'm willing to bet is alot bigger than the people who are new to bioshock), they won't be bothered with buying it again.

Another issue is the price, would you pay 40 quid for a port of a like..what?a 10 month old game(which it will be when the PS3 version comes out)just because it's got maybe an hour's worth of extra content? plus i'm sure with enough interest, the content that is on the ps3 version could be uploaded onto Xbox Live as a downloadable expansion pack.(It could easily happen.)

Xbox Live will always be better than anything Sony or Nintendo do online this generation of consoles, PS3 is free to play, do you know how shit severs are on free online play? Look at Nintendo's smash bros brawl, the Online spunks out lag every 10 seconds.

Paying to play for online gaming = better severs, no where near as much lag as free online would give you.

So how much would it cost to set an xbox up with wi-fi and a hd player and be able to watch HD movies at full HD, if someone wanted to? i understand that this wouldnt intrest you and many other peeps but what would it cost and where would you buy the stuff.

Wasnt bioshock meant to be an exclusive to pc and xbox 360 game so thats the reason its coming out on ps3 alot later.

Do you have example of games that are released on xbox 360 and ps3 that were meant to come out at the same time but there was a delay on the ps3 due to programming issues, also a wen page to back it up, learning from Foxthesnake ;o)

I do agree that online will always be better on xbox360 but i think home should make the ps3 a bit better than it is now ;o)

At the mo we were discussing how games take longer to come out on ps3 then on xbox 360 and i dont remember talking about this before.

Fox the only reason we have to put up with the same old arguments is because you take the conversation back to the xbox 360 is beating the ps3 in the next gen war and it also has more games.

Yes, because everyone is jumping at the chance to say the exact same things to you, to have you make the same flawed rebuttals you've made 2-3 times before in the last thread. We'd debate you, if there was any point to. You're thick headed and stubborn, you'll refuse to accept anything we say, and then you'll tell us we're wrong, then we'll show you evidence as to why you're wrong, then you'll show no evidence, and continue to say we're wrong and say the same things, then we'll get tired, and hopefully give up on you.
