In both threads all you realy come up with is the xbox 360 is winning the console war as it has alot more games, xbox 360 has a better cpu and the ps3 is hard to programme for, on these topics i have never said you were wrong.
This topic we are in now, does not argue against any of these points.

In terms of game quality and online gaming service, the Xbox 360 is winning the battle IMO.

And yes it was released before the PS3, so it has this advantage. Also it definitely was not perfect as the RROD is a typical Microsoft screw up.

While the PS3 has better specs what good use it if developers can't take advantage of it. That's like having an amazing computer that has no software. It's pretty much useless in terms of functionality. However, as I stated a while back in another thread the PS3 still has a chance to win but so far it's not looking too good. MGS 4, and Little Big Planet are probably the best that the PS3 has to offer. And two titles aren't going to persuade me to make the purchase.

Another thing is the controller, I like the 360's controller A LOT more. It's quite comfortable and it also serves as a PC gamepad.

not to mention that apparently, whilst MGS4 has sold a lot of copies INITIALLY, the selling of them is dropping DRAMATICALLY, because apparently quite a few people have stated their disappointment with the game. And it seems people have been taking this to heart. Don't know the truth in this statement, but it's what I've heard.

And something that IMO was a complete with PS3, the six axis technology in the control. it doesn't work worth a turd.

Actually that's a good point there about the power cord... PS3's power supply is inbuilt and thus isn't as developed as the 360's supply (the big box in the middle of the cord). Which apparently led to problems in the supplying of power to the console in the development of the console, until they managed to boost the amount of power the power supply drew.. Thus actually costing MORE (electricity wise) to run, which in the end probably makes up for the constant referrals to how much online play costs.

BTW, I'm not making this shit up, PS3's cost $250 to run PER YEAR. and a 360 costing $180. That's a $70 difference there ALONE.

Now, the price of a 12 month PACK (i.e. 12 month membership, $20 game rebate, headset, arcade game, 200 M$ points) all for $60.. SO let me see, 70-60=$10

So taking the price from the online play PACK (would be even cheaper for JUST the 12 month card) from the difference of power consumption, you save $10... That's an extra $10 towards the difference already ($20), so thats a $30 difference for the ONE year. And an extra $10 for every year after that... Not to mention the prices of games (what another 10 or so dollars)...
So all in all, you can't get ANYTHING positive with the price of PS3, that is greater than the 360.

Games Section

When it comes down to it a ps3 and xbox360 are pretty much the same and cando the same things. Fan boys a side, most people don’t really care about What graphic card or CPU’s are in there consoles. To most peeps the graphics capabilities on these 2 machines are pretty much identical.

It would be interesting to see how many multi-format games and Exclusive games have been released on the consoles since November 2006 when the ps3 Was released.

The only reason the Xbox 360 has sold more than the ps3 is the price and when it was released, if they both were released at the same time and were the same price the ps3 would be winning the console war.

I have had a wee look into prices and I think you do get value for money when you buy a ps3.

The other argument I hear against ps3 is that it’s a lot more expensivethan the 360, but this is going to be the case due the ps3 having a bitmore hardware in it than an Xbox 360. Talking about prices look at how muchthe Xbox 360 elite is, all because they put in bigger hard drive and fullvHD capabilities. So I don’t think the PS3 is over priced.

At the moment the Xbox 360 wipes the floor with the online abilities of aps3 but remember you are paying for this service, at the mo ps3 is freeto play online, Im sure when PS3 Home comes out the online abilities will be better.

When it comes down to it if you just want a Games machine then yes I wouldsay the Xbox 360 standard is a great buy, but if you are wanting a smart looking all in one media centre then a ps3 is a much better buy.

Please note none of my comments above have been degrading to the Xbox 360.

Just checked out the link for alone in the dark 3 and sc4 and i agree from they 2 post it appears they are having problems with slowdown on ps3, but are u saying there never ever been the same prob with an xbox game getting delayed for issues???

firstly noone has said it's getting less exclusive games then the 360, the way exclusive works at the moment, is that if it isn't a first party game, then it seem to get released on the rival console after about 10 months anyway.

I've never said there has never ever been a single delay in the existence of the 360, it just so happens that when it comes to mutiformat games, the 360 version nearly always happens to be released first and seems to be the better version, as it doesn't have no bugs or slowdowns.
