Snake i would love to see an example of where i said you were wrong, feel free to quote me, only time i tell you are wrong when it comes to u accusing me of saying things. In both threads all you realy come up with is the xbox 360 is winning the console war as it has alot more games, xbox 360 has a better cpu and the ps3 is hard to programme for, on these topics i have never said you were wrong. This topic we are in now, does not argue against any of these points. But you still keep bring the discussion back to one of these topics. Feel free to talk about what the post is about. |

Deekz Wrote:Playstation 3 £298Peaceeee Now since you're including HD-Drives etc in your price list, I'm assuming that that's what you're talking about as having the same specs... And as I stated in the last thread, the 360 elite ALREADY has those: Aryon Wrote:Ok, The elite Xbox is NOT overpriced, it is actually rather reasonable, being £249.10, according to your price table, IT'S STILL CHEAPER. And the reason it's NOT overpriced, is because it comes with: So the elite pack comes with all you need IF you want to watch HD movies, which has been seen in multiple sources (too lazy to find one, and I'm off to school in about 10 minutes) that not barely enough people gives a sh*t about. RE: Ps3 and xbox 360,
In terms of game quality and online gaming service, the Xbox 360 is winning the battle IMO.
And yes it was released before the PS3, so it has this advantage. Also it definitely was not perfect as the RROD is a typical Microsoft screw up. While the PS3 has better specs what good use it if developers can't take advantage of it. That's like having an amazing computer that has no software. It's pretty much useless in terms of functionality. However, as I stated a while back in another thread the PS3 still has a chance to win but so far it's not looking too good. MGS 4, and Little Big Planet are probably the best that the PS3 has to offer. And two titles aren't going to persuade me to make the purchase. Another thing is the controller, I like the 360's controller A LOT more. It's quite comfortable and it also serves as a PC gamepad. Counter Strike 300 Read The Forum Rules Pwnem Veteran <- This explains what it is and how to become one. |

RE: Ps3 and xbox 360,
not to mention that apparently, whilst MGS4 has sold a lot of copies INITIALLY, the selling of them is dropping DRAMATICALLY, because apparently quite a few people have stated their disappointment with the game. And it seems people have been taking this to heart. Don't know the truth in this statement, but it's what I've heard.

RE: Ps3 and xbox 360,
Could be quite true.
And something that IMO was a complete with PS3, the six axis technology in the control. it doesn't work worth a turd. But the Ps3 does have one benefit: ![]() http://www.myspace.com/phatbowser |

RE: Ps3 and xbox 360,
Deekz Wrote:So how much would it cost to set an xbox up with wi-fi and a hd player and be able to watch HD movies at full HD, if someone wanted to? i understand that this wouldnt intrest you and many other peeps but what would it cost and where would you buy the stuff. I'll start this with a "what's in the box" guide of sorts: Xbox 360 elite: 120GB hard disk drive an HDMI 1.2 connector Improved integration of the optional Xbox HD DVD Player Improved Wireless controler which works from 30ft range Headset ethernet cable 2 USB ports(I think, standard 360's have 2 anyway) Playstation 3 (80 GB): 80 GB hard disk drive 4 USB Ports Wi-Fi out the box Bluetooth 2.0 HDMI 1.3 One Sixaxis controller (with a 20 meter wireless range and 30 hours of battery life on one charge.) AC cord (no external power source or brick) Ethernet cable Multi-AV cable with composite connectors prices: From Amazon PS3: $508.70 Xbox 360 Elite: £234.94 so from picking the best version's of the consoles, the 360 is still a better value, plus if i wanted wireless I could still get a wireless adapter for cheaper than getting a ps3 anyway. Deekz Wrote:Wasnt bioshock meant to be an exclusive to pc and xbox 360 game so thats the reason its coming out on ps3 alot later. SC4 runs better on 360: http://www.dbtechno.com/gaming/2008/05/2...-than-ps3/ (Don't know if that still stands though) Alone In the dark ps3 delay: http://www.videogamer.com/news/29-05-2008-8404.html (supposed to be out on 360,wii and ps3 at the same time, currently only the 360 version is out i believe.) *old* Jucied 2: http://news.filefront.com/juiced-2-delay...cancelled/

RE: Ps3 and xbox 360,
Actually that's a good point there about the power cord... PS3's power supply is inbuilt and thus isn't as developed as the 360's supply (the big box in the middle of the cord). Which apparently led to problems in the supplying of power to the console in the development of the console, until they managed to boost the amount of power the power supply drew.. Thus actually costing MORE (electricity wise) to run, which in the end probably makes up for the constant referrals to how much online play costs.
BTW, I'm not making this shit up, PS3's cost $250 to run PER YEAR. and a 360 costing $180. That's a $70 difference there ALONE. source: http://news.softpedia.com/news/The-PS3-C...7232.shtml Now, the price of a 12 month PACK (i.e. 12 month membership, $20 game rebate, headset, arcade game, 200 M$ points) all for $60.. SO let me see, 70-60=$10 So taking the price from the online play PACK (would be even cheaper for JUST the 12 month card) from the difference of power consumption, you save $10... That's an extra $10 towards the difference already ($20), so thats a $30 difference for the ONE year. And an extra $10 for every year after that... Not to mention the prices of games (what another 10 or so dollars)... So all in all, you can't get ANYTHING positive with the price of PS3, that is greater than the 360. ![]() ![]() O2 - Orange Range (Extended Opening Theme for CG R2) |

Im very intrested in people backing up there comments on how it being hard to programme on the ps3 is affecting games being released and how its, getting less exclusive games then the xbox 360. Just checked out the link for alone in the dark 3 and sc4 and i agree from they 2 post it appears they are having problems with slowdown on ps3, but are u saying there never ever been the same prob with an xbox game getting delayed for issues??? |

I've commented on your question about games..so no, "peeps" haven't just commented on the cost. Deekz Wrote:Im very intrested in people backing up there comments on how it being hard to programme on the ps3 is affecting games being released and how its, getting less exclusive games then the xbox 360. firstly noone has said it's getting less exclusive games then the 360, the way exclusive works at the moment, is that if it isn't a first party game, then it seem to get released on the rival console after about 10 months anyway. I've never said there has never ever been a single delay in the existence of the 360, it just so happens that when it comes to mutiformat games, the 360 version nearly always happens to be released first and seems to be the better version, as it doesn't have no bugs or slowdowns.
