PS1 Vs. Nintendo 64

The N64 was way better IMO. It had a awesome controller, great games like Golden Eye, Mario 64 & Mario Kart. As for fighting games, it had Bio Freaks, and Super Smash Bros.

Hmmm... what else, ah yeah F-ZERO, Banjo Kazooie, and Rainbow Six.

PS1 only had Crash, Spyro, Tekken and Twisted Metal. Oh yeah and Metal Gear Solid, but meh the N64 was way better multiplayer wise. And shooting games were so much fun with the trigger on the controller, something the PS1 lacked. Actually PS1,PS2, and even PS3 have pretty much the same controller which is not that impressive.

RE: N64 Vs. PS1

lol you mean PS1, not PSP...

Anyway, yeah I forgot about Final Fantasy, and the legend of Dragoon. Which were two kickass RPGs. But I'm not that into RPGs so I prefer the N64 style games.

RE: N64 Vs. PS1

I had the PS1 and I really liked it .. thought the graphics were amazing when I had it after playing on a mega drive haha. You look back at them now and it's just amazing how far things have come on in what isn't all that many years.

Anyway, back on topic. Never really played the N64 that much but I didn't really like the controller. It did have some good games on it though.

The Playstation controller hasn't changed because it's tried and tested ;) Don't change something if it ain't broke and all that :)

RE: N64 Vs. PS1

The thing with the N64 controller was that it was kind of big, and shaped pretty weird, so it was hard to get use to in the beginning. But once you got use it to, it was awesome especially in shooting games, I loved that trigger :)

And in games like Bio F.R.E.A.K.S all those buttons came in handy.

RE: N64 Vs. PS1

N64 defiantly.

basically no load times.. dont have to worry about scratching the disk.

Graphics are better not so blocky.

Playstation 1 had better games that i like.. very blocky though.

RE: N64 Vs. PS1

I am a huge N64 fan, I just bought Rayman 2 and Mortal Kombat 4 from ebay to add to our gaming pleasure. When I first got N64, oh several years ago, it game with James Bond 007 game. I prefer the TWINE james bond over the goldeneye.

RE: N64 Vs. PS1

Anyone here remember Conker's Bad Fur Day? They made a big deal about it because of it's mature content, similar to what happened with the GTA games, especially when news about the hidden content in San Andreas was leaked.
