lol, it's all good. After that couple of seconds of that, it jumped up to 7500kb/s for about 10 seconds. but then the page timed out... damn school internet proxy stops uploads after 1 minute.

Don't try and do anything productive on a school internet connection. I've tried. Doesn't work.

Well depending on what you consider as "productive", what I do on school computers is far from productive.

i.e. according to the school people, this forum is unproductive. :P

That is messed up. The computer would fry way before then.
And good luck getting something interesting onto to those computers.

Maybe more users are trying to upload the same time.
