There's a rumor going around that the 360 core will no longer be sold. This is similar to what Sony did with their cheaper PS3 console.

However, there's also another rumor that the old core will be replaced by a new one which will come with wireless controllers.

Not sure what the price tag on that one will be though. Apparently the rumor about the 360 core not being sold might be true as some online retailers have stopped advertising it.

Heh, welcome to microsoft world! Scamming their people. Now people who bought the core are screwed. I hope microsoft replaces the core with that version. Because loads of games are now demanding HDD or memory.

Honestly, I'd rather to put my bets on Sony or Nintendo since they're the only ones who knows what to do and actually has a strategy. Micro$oft is just messing around like if they were clue-less like a headless chicken bumping on each other.

Microsoft launches a 20 GB system and start boasting about Live downloadable content. In the other and, the games now require alot of storage. So, you wont be able to take advantage of the Live fully nor the games fully. You will have to sacrifice one of them.

I love how microsoft forces people to buy THEIR things. ONLY their HD. Unlike Sony which gives you the freedom to choose.

Sony and Nintendo has the clearest strategy. Sony had a year boasting about the PS3 and now its the year of gaming. Simple as that. They're launching loads of titles.

Nintendo, they are getting good game, focusing on optimizing the controls. Providing fun for the casual gamer at a cheap price tag.

Microsoft, they're clueless. All they do is try to buy exclusive and losing more money. Since when a console bought exclusives? This funny. First time happens on the industry. When Square Enix decided to go with Sony it was because of the hardware not because Sony payed them to quite Nintendo and stick with Sony.

But no, microsoft had to change things are going. Making everything for cash, trying to buy off exclusive and the result? The company is still not profiting, not with Halo 3. Peter moore quitted microsoft because all of the pressure on his shoulders and he stated that the game division is still losing a hell loads of money, 10 Billion Dollars.

You feel the Sony and Nintendo are safe and confident. While microsoft is shaky... it has been out for 10 years and still no profits? I wonder what the stock holders will think about it. 4 billion dollars loss is not something easy even if it was the giant microsoft.

Thanks to peter moore, he fixed the relation between Sony and EA and now they're providing games with good FPS and graphics unlike before. Peter moore was a great guy, i feel sorry for microsoft or happy?

Now, we are starting to watch Microsoft sinking down. I hope it continues on that momentum. I'd want to see Nintendo or Sony as a winner. and microsoft as a loser. I am not a fanboy. I am just against microsoft in everything. I hate their propaganda.

The PS3 doesn't offer many good games. So, it fails as a console. In short, it loses because no one wants to buy a console without games they'll enjoy. You have different tastes, UNIQUE tastes, that the majority of gamers I've seen don't share. YOU think the PS3 will win because YOU like there games, which is fine, but all the stats, charts and tests obviously show the 360 is not only selling more systems, but is also more widely accepted as the better of the PS3. I'm not saying the PS3 doesn't have fans, as evident of you, but generally speaking, more people have 360's than they do PS3's. The PS3 is failing, and will continue to fail in the years to come. It's time for you to accept the truth.

And don't get me started on business ethics. Sony has scammed me and everyone else more times than I can count. My first PS2 fried in a day, they're also discontinuing THEIR cores, so I don't see a difference in policy, and many other things, such as the fact that they, at the last minute announced that all of Europe would be receiving PS3's awhile after everyone in the States/Japan, because they didn't think the sales would be high enough in the regions at the time of release anyway. I bet that made you feel warm and peachy inside.

@ Mohdgame, exclusives are somewhat important as they help give the console fame for certain games. If Mario was on other consoles it would lose it's value.

When you hear Mario you think of Nintendo, when you hear Master Chief you think of Xbox and so on.

Also I doubt the by 2008 the 360 will collapse. If anything maybe after a new console comes out that's not made by Microsoft. Sure the PS3 might get about the same amount of people playing on PSN but it won't bring down the Xbox Live community entirely.

They didn't had PS3's enough to supply it. They didn't expected that the PS3 would sell that fast. I am still suprised at the PS3 selling neck to neck to Micro$oft's Xbox 360 while it has no games. That proves with games it would outsell it.

170 million only? The repairs from the three years extended warranty costed microsoft 1,5 billion. Other than the other losses.


I am not a fanboy, but I'd rather see Sony or Nintendo as the 2 kings rather than microsoft's 360. Look at the PlayStation 3. Its winning a hell loads of exclusive from even 3RD party publisher because one thing, hardware. Not cash. Sony is doing it old-school.
