RE: No Internet..
meh, I was talking to SSD about this awhile back, we realized how much the world relies on the great information highway for everything...we thought about how quite a few people use it for business, such as Ebay. I seriously believe if there was a way for our global economy to go down the tube any faster then it already is, it would be from the internet being gone....lol I find it interesting how that is very well possible...the internet causing another depression..

RE: No Internet..
The internet has become a very important aspect in our lives, not because if our use so much, but the usage for satellite recon and military applications, as well as keeping track of federal dealings and news. Without, our world would go through a back to the old ways crisis that people don't want.

RE: No Internet..
I really can't imagine my life without internet.

It's like, my life. LoL.

It's like taking away a photographer's camera.
It's like taking away a gymnast's bars.
It's like taking away a cyclist's bicycle.
It's like taking away a blood from a human being.

You say that now, but when it's gone, after 2 hard weeks of crying into your pillow, you'll be fine!

RE: No Internet..
There are a lot of things we can survive without. Air conditioning, refrigerators, televisions, computers, cars, most things. Just go back to the wild west days, all you had was a wagon, horse, guns, food, water, and clothes.

RE: No Internet..
Actually, my computers messing up at the moment, and when I turn on my computer with the internet plugged in, it freezes.. So I gotta turn it on and THEN plug in the internet (which for some reason makes the net slower...). My brother came up this weekend and had a look (he works with computers every day now, etc, etc) and he thinks it's a virus that AVG Free can't detect... So I gotta either buy a commercial anti-virus program, or get a computer tech to install one, clear the computer, then uninstall it.

RE: No Internet..
Yeah it has it's pros and cons, but for the business world it's practically essential to have it.

A everyday web surfer can survive without it, they might struggle to cope with it but after a while they'll adjust. But a person who manages an online shop or makes a living off their website would have to make some major adjustments in their life to cope with it. Sure, they'd be able to manage but their lifestyle might go down as they'd have to go get a normal job and might end up making less money.
