How about Nintendo start making good games again and get rid of Gingerbread ninjaman and other shite like that off their consoles.

surely Nintendo could have released the camera as an add of for the DS lite, and the shop HAS to be compatable with older versions of the DS right? I mean if not...ouch to the consumer whores out there.

Well if the browser is better than the Opera one they previously released and if it supports the newer WiFi encryption along with a longer range, then I might get it.

Although honestly Nintendo was a bit late on this one, they are now pulling a Sony. They just keep making "new" hardware revisions rather than making improved hardware/games.

The fact that it's going to be region sensitive disturbs me... found that out from Squee earlier today, don't know the source, though

Well it's not that bad, keep in mind that this new DS does have some cons:

*No GBA slot
*Region protection, which means no more imported games (assuming what squee666 said was accurate).
*It's less compact than the Lite

The only thing that really caught my attention was the browser and larger screen, but if the browser is just like the previous Opera browser then screw it.

...hmm... good point... im not mad anymore. how am i supposed to play an import of mother 3 if it doesnt have a gba slot?
