It freezes like crazy! I'm not joking, during the last 12 hours or so of playtime, I've had it crash/freeze about 10 times.

The game is freakin' perfect, but this freezing problem is making me RAGE.

Anyone else having this problem?

That is not good, they really need to fix this problem.

Well if it keeps happening worldwide, then they may have to provide a full refund or replacement.

I have it for 360, but it hasn't happened to me. Thank goodness.

Does it happen in a certain mode or is it just the whole game in general?

I played it today for a few hours online at a friend's house, and it didn't freeze. Noticed a tiny bit of a lag but it was probably due to the host. Aside from that, I experienced smooth gameplay.

It may be the single storyline. A graphics process problem if anything.

Well generally speaking, no matter what mission I'm doing, if any, it will freeze up after 5-15 minutes of me playing. Never fails. I haven't had a full 30 minutes of GTA yet without it freezing.

They need to f**king fix this, it's ridiculous. If it was just me, maybe I'd consider it a hardware problem. However seeing as tons of people across all platforms are having it, it's obviously a programming/manufacturing/software problem, and it's really pissing me off.

It doesn't technically say that it's occurring in PS3's mostly, it's just saying that more PS3 users are bitching about it really.

Rockstar needs to get up and fix this, I can't play GTA IV much until they do.

Hmm. Well a probable reason for the greater amount of PS3 users bitching might be because they spent the time to install it and it froze on 'em. From what the first link you posted says, that some guy reinstalled it a couple of times, and no doubt many other people did too.

But then again, it is human nature to bitch about this kinda thing. I know I would be.

And by the looks of it, Rockstar are still stumped. So either there's gonna be a crisis on their hands, or they figure it out and replace. Or maybe a nice "F**k you and leave us alone" even. lol
