As you may or may not know, I decided to give some other users a chance to become moderators some weeks ago when some of former forum moderators were asked to pass on their titles.

I waited some time to see who could possibly fill in for them, but instead of personally selecting candidates, I thought it would be better if I let other forum members choose instead.

To keep everyone's nomination confidential, ALL nominations must be done via PM. Failure to do so will end up in you losing your right to nominate.

I'm currently looking for two moderators, so when you send me your nominations, send me two usernames.

Here are some other restrictions:

*In order to vote you must have at least 80+ posts.
*Have been a member for the forum for more than 2 weeks.
*The person who you nominate must fit the above criteria as well.
*You are allowed to nominate yourself, but in total there should be only two members nominated. If you only nominate one person or more than two, your nomination will NOT be counted.

If you don't meet the criteria above your nomination will not count. Why set this restriction? Simple, to prevent abuse. This will prevent people from winning unfairly due to them making fake accounts to unethically boost their nominations. I doubt anyone would do this, but I'll do it as a precaution anyway.

If you are caught attempting to manipulate the results you will be BANNED permanently. No bribes etc.

Results will be announced on 4/21/08. So you have up until the 20th to submit your nominations. Remember, you must nominate two candidates as there's two moderator slots open.

I think it would be fair to let those who feel they are good for the position post a little bit about why they feel they should be nominated in here as well, just a suggestion. Wait for the okay from Gamer before doing so lol.

Well the only problem with that is that it may lead to conflicts as other members may not agree with certain statements which will lead to flaming..

So I think it's best to leave it how it is. Plus, as we learned from politics, what the politician claims isn't always necessarily true :P

Its not really a politics type thing, more of a getting to know you hey this is why I feel i'm good for the position type thing. But I understand why, again it was just a suggestion. Good luck to everyone!

Yeah, I guess I'm viewing it from a more political perspective when I really shouldn't be...

But in my opinion, the candidate shouldn't need to explain why they're suitable, if they are truly suitable the members will be able to identify why themselves as their good qualities will be reflected and others will acknowledge them.

Anyway, I got a couple of nominations already, and if you're eligible to nominate please do so.
