i dont mind mod chips for certain things, i mean i have a modded playstation and something else too... cant remember. neway i dont mind if its used for things "other" than cheating. such as putting linux on your xbox or something. but cheating mods... thats ghey.

I wasn't aware that mods were used for cheating... Just goes to show what I know...

I actually never had any of my stuff modded, the only thing that I DO have modded now, is my PS1, since my original broke, and we bought it off a friend about 3 years ago.. And their family is HEAVILY into pirated everything... DVD's, games, music, etc.

I don't really care for the idea. There will always be those people out there that will use it to screw things up.

This is the age old concern about mod chips but I have to strongly disagree that they should be illegal. Nintendo, Sony etc should have no say in what you do to your console. What would you do if you bought a car and decided to lower the suspension or something but ford came along and said you can't do that or we will "brick" your car. You would have something to say about that wouldn't you. same senario nintendo are saying you cannot modify our equipment or we will "brick" it but did you not pay money to own that console so who are they to tell you what to do with it.

This sort of talk just makes me so made at these companies telling me what i can or cannot do to my property?

I just don't like the idea. I don't want to mod anything cause I am happy how they made it.
