For what it's worth, Sun Tzu had an excellent area on reading an opponent. I've obviously done so quite easily, and you've failed, proving its usefulness. From what I can see, Kojima is saying that he expected the PS3s graphical prowess wasn't what he expected, I can't see anywhere him saying that the game play is bad, and thats what, as you say a lot, Snake, makes a good game.

As for the article in Edge, I don't read it, so I can't say

Truth. The game might not turn out to be what kojima envisioned, but i think it will be great. There was a beta sign-up for Metal Gear Online, the multiplayer portion of the game to be released, and they had to push the release of the beta back because of such high demand.

It's not Kojima's fault, It's Sony's...as far as I can tell.

I'm not really into Playstation brand or Sony, but I can tell by screenshots alone that MGS4 will be awesome, just like the other MGS games, it doesn't take a Genius to figure that out.
