I got this with my 360 as it was the only one I could afford with the remaining Ca$h,and I loved it, the graphics are cool, the Mechs are used but still fun, and the plot is.....Unique.
It has some of the best MP Ive played, not totally tactical, but not as loose as Halo.
I am not super into the Anime like characters, but it isn't like it ruins the game.

I only played the demo of the first one, and it was OK.

Never got a chance to try multiplayer though. As for the new one, it looks a lot better. I'm looking forward to it's MP.

I did a little research and I found that the original game is in the package(i.e.same disc more stuff), There are ten new guns 4 new dudes(2 are actually dudettes) and several new modes and levels, plus 4 more multiplayer maps.
For players of the original, rankings do not carry over, so that sucks, also, the new game doesn't play with the old.
Akrid Play is limited to a specific mode, but it should work out.
Also, Bonus, this edition not only allows the original viewpoint, but you can go 1st person and a special over-the-shoulder view ala Resident Evil.
I was wrong about release dates, it comes out the 27th,not the 28th, it will be $30.

Sounds like a good deal. Any idea why the low price though?

I would love to check some of this stuff out, but you know, 5 year old notebook and all.
(She is still fast, but virus program checks things everytime I open them, so it slows her down. )

The low price is because the game is now a Platinum Hit, so they cut the price to match.
I hope the new guns still retain the infinitely fine balance that Capcom maintained with the original.
