Lost Magic
I'm just wondering if anyone played this game. It was out about a year or two ago and was pretty fun. It was a bit difficult to get the hang of at first, because not only did you have to control your minions, you had to 'draw' your magic in real time.

I enjoyed it, but ultimately traded it in. So, has any one else played it?

RE: Lost Magic
First time I hear of it..Drawing the magic sounds interesting though.

Also, this game reminds me of Drawn to Life for some reason.

RE: Lost Magic
It has a fairly standard RPG plot, your an orphaned child, bad stuff goes down, and it's up to you to collect X amount of magical items and defeat the big baddy (The only difference here is that you KNOW your father was an extremely powerful mage, and why you are orphaned).

The main attraction in the game is the magic system. You essentially had 6 branches of Magic- Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Heart... I mean Light, and Darkness.

Fire was your basic damaging attack, it could either send out a fire ball or create a patch of lava on the field

Water was a weaker attack but it's main use was for dousing the lava that your bosses used

Earth created walls. While it sounds crap, this could make the change between winning and losing boss fights, as they had a lot more monsters to control than you did.

Wind was also damaging, but could create hurricanes that tended to place enemies as far away from you as you needed. I think it could also teleport you.

Light was your healing spells, either self heal or party heal

Darkness was your capturing spells. This was also a main feature of the game, as you could capture weakened monsters and use them to form a team... pokemon syndrome, anyone? They all had unique abilities and could be more/less powerful depending on how you used spells

Spells could also be chained together, or fused. For example, you could use the standard shape for a fireball, let go of the spell button, and it would fire ball. draw two on them, and it's more powerful. I think if you drew three of the most powerful spells together, you summoned a dragon of that type.

Colour fussions could be cool. A fire/earth fusion would create a wall of fire, for example
