Who WOULD get a ps3 for the game? I got it cuz it looks pretty.. o.o

Most PS3 gamers *I* know IRL are the macho, "I'm better than you because I own more expensive shit than you!" type of college-guys who bought a PS3 more as a status symbol among there gamer friends (think Escalade), and to frag stuff in FPS games, than to sit down and honestly enjoy anything mildly innovative or creative.

However that's just the demographic I've seen. It's hard to deny that Little Big Planet would thrive much better on the Wii than the PS3.

Even though I have one, I have to say Wii is crap and not even SSB can save it.

I mean, with such a huge fanbase it's impossible to deny that LBP would sell better on the Wii.

The Wii will go downhill just like Gamecube did.. Poor Nintendo..

If LBP went on the Wii, the graphix would suck big time, and the graphics make the game. Pointless to put it on the wii. It would just feel like some crap Sims game.

For one, the Gamecube never reached a point where it was outselling the PS2 by twice as much. The Wii has, and is holding this stance.

Graphics don't mean ANYTHING. NOTHING. People weren't fawning over Metal Gear Solid because of the "OMG SUPER-GRAPHICS!", people weren't enjoying Super Mario Bros. because the graphics were good.

This is my problem with todays gamers, they have no concept on innovation, gameplay, or storyline. All they see is "omg shiney graphics", like freakin' racoons to a shiney silver object.

Graphics make a game look nice, but they have no bearing on the TRUE draw for most actual gamers, which is gameplay. LBP with nerfed graphics would be totally alright. Are you honestly going to say the game would suck if the anti-aliasing was taken down a few levels and maybe the shadow effects were less polished? If so you should really rethink your priorities.

It's obviously clear that LBP is going to be popular mostly for the interactive aspects and the graphics. Just look at it. Take those things away, and then you have a plain game like SSB which shouldn't even be compared. Put a plain game on ps3 and whats the point? I respect your opinion, though, even after seeing your age, which makes things OH SO clear. :)

I don't know where you get off thinking you can talk down to me.

I fail to see how my age has any bearing what-so-ever on an opinion. Oh wow you're 3 years older than me, big difference. Come back when you've shifted time and turned 56, then we'll discuss age as a factor.

Anyhow, graphics don't mean anything, most people who've actually been gaming since before this and the last generation know what I'm talking about. You didn't play MGS, Orcarina of Time, or nearly any other game SOLELY on graphics. Hell, graphics didn't mean anything. It was the gameplay and in some cases, storyline, that made a game.

If all you see in LBP is graphics, so be it. I don't care really. However it goes as proof that this generation of gamers are really losing the concept on what a game "is". Looking at LBP I see innovation and intriguing gameplay, not graphics.
