Lag
*LAG!*

If you play any type of online game, whether it's on the PC, home console or even on a handheld device lag you're bound to have experienced this at least once.

I feel this is one of the worst things that can happen, aside from your controller getting messed up or other obvious things such as your PC crashing etc.

There's also the classic, I just ran out of bullets - for the FPS gamers, and for the MMORPG addicts..I mean gamers...there's the no more potions and I have 10 HP left...And there's many more..but those things are not really directly connected with lag, although if your lagging it's possible that you may be wasting your bullets or potions by accident due to it. Like you might click on the potion a few more times, or on a FPS game you may shoot more than you wanted (and possibly at nothing, perhaps a wall if your lucky).

But anyway, lag is definitely one of those things that sucks (well if it's happening to you..as if it's happening to the other player...well you know...BOOM HEADSHOT)...

Back to why lag sucks, when I played RuneScape some years ago I remember losing some of my good items because of it as I was in the wilderness and out of nowhere lagged horribly, and before I knew it I was in Lumbridge with an empty inventory..And that's just one example of the many ways that lag affects you negatively. I mean you could probably write a book on it..or at least a 2+ page PDF.

lol @ runescape. Yeah, I guess I played it multiple years ago, but w/e. Sucks now.

But yeah, lag sucks. One problem with some online games, and console online games in particular, is the fact that it will normally use the host as the, um, host. Unlike most PC games that use servers and such, if some Frenchy makes a room in CoD4 on 360/PS3 (I'm assuming $onys shit console works the same for CoD4) and you get matched into his room... LAG CITY!

But yeah, SnakeTheFox doesn't need health potions, and when I run out of bullets I use my knife.

RE: Lag
Everyone hates lag. I especially hate lag in FPS's because having a perfect connection is critical. If there is lag, your shots will most likely be off. In games such as World of Warcraft, I don't mind so much. Most of the time you won't die even if you do have lag. I recently purchased an Xbox360 and I haven't recieved any lag when playing CoD4. The connection is perfect. :)

well not the perfect connection is the best. like havning the ping at >20 cuz the higher pings without lag has an advantage as they are a second behind the players with almost perfect ping.

RE: Lag
No, hackers are worse. There was a Dot A map that was fake. Its real purpose was to download a virus...
